All Stray Fairy locations in the Snowhead Temple – The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask (N64/Switch version)

Time to rescue some damsels from the tower.

The mechanical demon, Goht, has taken up residence in Snowhead Temple, ravaging and corrupting the surrounding area beyond recognition. As a result, Snowhead Temple's Great Fairy has been split into 15 Stray Fairies that are being held within the once sacred tower, which means you'll need to help rescue the Great Fairy's fragments and restore her power. Finding all 15 fairies can be difficult, however, so we're here to help—here are all Stray Fairy locations in Snowhead Temple.

Where to find the Snowhead Temple Stray Fairies

Unlike the pink Stray Fairies that call the Southern Swamp home, the fairies scattered throughout this frigid temple glow with a green hue. There are a total of 15 Stray Fairies to be found within the towering Snowhead Temple, and their locations are as follows:

  • Basement Floor
    • Four: The fourth fairy is stuck inside of a chest. Equip the Goron Mask and step on the switch in a pool of lava to make the chest appear.
  • First Floor
    • One: You can find the first fairy trapped within a bubble below the bridge. Use the Hero's Bow to release it, then the Great Fairy's Mask to draw it toward Link.
    • Two: The second fairy is trapped within a bubble below the square platform. Use the Hero's Bow to release it, then the Great Fairy's Mask to draw it toward Link.
    • Eight: The eighth fairy is stuck inside of a chest. Defeat the three Freezards in the room with Fire Arrows to make the chest appear.
    • Nine: The ninth fairy is stuck inside of a chest. Use Fire Arrows to melt the frozen switch in the corner of the room, then step on the switch to make the chest appear.
    • Ten: This fairy is trapped within a crate near the staircase. Throw a bomb to destroy the crate, then use the Great Fairy's Mask to draw the fairy toward Link.
    • Eleven: The eleventh fairy is stuck inside of a chest in the room.
  • Second Floor
    • Three: The third fairy is floating near the staircase leading to the second floor.
    • Five: The fifth fairy is stuck inside of a chest. Use the Lens of Truth to reveal the chest behind a fake wall in the room.
    • Six: The sixth fairy is trapped within a bubble. Use the Lens of Truth to reveal the room's fake ceiling, then use the Hero's Bow and Great Fairy's Mask to release the fairy and draw it toward Link.
    • Seven: This fairy is stuck inside of a chest. Use the Lens of Truth to reveal hidden platforms leading up to the chest.
    • Fifteen: The final fairy is stuck inside of a chest in a hidden tunnel. Use the Lens of Truth to reveal a fake wall with a Deku Flower and the chest behind it.
  • Third Floor
    • Twelve: The twelfth fairy is trapped within a bubble. Use the Lens of Truth to reveal a fake wall in the room, then use the Hero's Bow and Great Fairy's Mask to release the fairy and draw it toward Link.
  • Fourth Floor
    • Thirteen: Defeat the Dinolfos to release this fairy.
    • Fourteen: Defeat the Dinolfos to release this fairy.

Once all 15 wayward fairies have been rounded up, exit Snowhead Temple and make your way down to Great Fairy Fountain. Upon entering the fountain as human Link, all of the fairies Link freed from within the temple will swarm together, restoring the Great Fairy of Wisdom to her former glory. You'll be rewarded with an enhancement to your Magic Power, increasing your Magic Meter by twice the size as a result!
