The publishers are known for producing popular game franchises from different genres. This article mentions the best Activision Blizzard installments based on sales and community response.

Call of Duty

This franchise more or less defines the first-person shooter game genre. The first Call of Duty came way back in 2003, and the franchise has pushed out annual releases since 2005. Most titles reach anywhere between 20 to 30 million in sales, or more.

This military shooter has done it all, from conventional boots-on-the-ground to space warfare. Call of Duty gameplay involves a casual, more arcade-like shooting experience ranging from as low as two players to massive 150-player game modes. These games are also known for the creation of indulging campaign stories and memorable characters such as Captain Price (Modern Warfare) and Raul Menendez (Black Ops).

Overwatch

Overwatch is Blizzard's single best-selling title, with more than 50 million copies sold. It is an online, 6v6 first-person shooter game featuring heroes with unique special abilities. The popularity of Overwatch is a result of its unique character-driven gameplay, huge esports presence, and diverse content. A sequel to this fan-favorite game is currently underway and is speculated to be released by the end of 2022.

Diablo

Diablo is another franchise with a massive player-base. The action role-playing game has witnessed three installments with the most recent one, Diablo III, selling a whopping 30 million copies. The game is successful thanks to its unique dark take on RPGs, characters, fluid game mechanics, and relative freedom in gameplay.

World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft, commonly known as WoW, is a sensation of its own. The massively multiplayer RPG game was released way back in 2004 and peaked at 12 million subscribers. Unlike the Diablo games, WoW requires considerable time and effort, making the grind rewarding for players. Even several years after its release, the game receives constant updates and remains a popular choice amongst gamers.

Candy Crush

Activision Blizzard also owns King, the popular Candy Crush games developer. These are casual puzzle games initially available on mobile devices. Any person of any age can easily adapt and develop a liking to the easy gameplay.

All you have to do is match three or more similar pieces of an item until the level is complete. The gameplay is simple yet highly satisfying and addicting. The original game, Candy Crush Saga, was released in 2012 and boasted more than one billion downloads on Android's Play Store alone.
