Can you change servers in Lost Ark?

Consider carefully.

Lost Ark is an MMORPG being developed by Smilegate RPG and releases on Feb. 11, with early access being available on Feb. 8. As an MMO, players will need to select a server, which may leave players wondering if they can change servers in Lost Ark.

The answer is no. You cannot change servers in Lost Ark. There is no official method to change servers. This means that if your friends are playing on another server, you cannot join them without creating a completely new character or them creating a new character on your server. This means you should think carefully about where you create your character.

While this is unfortunate, Lost Ark does allow players to create multiple characters across multiple servers. This means that you can play on different servers—just with a different character. This means you can experiment with different builds and have different characters for different groups of friends or solo play.

Lost Ark has been available in Korea since 2018 and with it released in other regions, they will be adding more servers to the game. This will hopefully prevent long waits in queues at launch and give players plenty of options.
