How to find and unlock secret dungeons in Lost Ark – what are secret maps, explained

Once you have reached the Rethramis Border area in Lost Ark, you can start finding rare blue scrolls, from here on out on your journey. These scrolls are actually Secret Maps and are named things such as Lone Demon's Demonic Cave and Waiting Demon's Rift. These can be acquired by killing enemies in this area, and by completing quests.

These, when used, are actually maps that show you a section of the map, very much like a treasure map, that when you go find that X marks the spot location, you can enter a secret dungeon. You can even share this secret dungeon with those in your party so that you can venture inside together.

Sometimes if the map is quite vague, it will display some text of how many steps you are away from the entrance and what direction you must go.

By going to these locations, you have an investigation prompt that a blue portal will appear when you interact with it. And the option of entering the secret dungeon will appear.

The name on the scroll indicates what secret dungeon you will enter. We entered the Waiting Demon's Rift secret dungeon, and it's a very small area, but with a boss fight. We had to kill a Lvl 15 Essense of Corruption boss. After defeating the boss, we got a single piece of epic loot, the Leaping Observer Earrings.
