Where to find boss Aurion in Lost Ark

Keep your distance and don't forget to dodge!

Aurion is one of the field bosses that spawn in Lost Ark. He spawns on the tiny island of WildWater that is located right in the middle of the Whispering Sea. The easiest way to get to this spot is by sailing from Crescent Moon Marina which is located on the northwestern coast of the island of Rethramis.

Since Aurion is a field boss, his spawn rate is quite low. Keep an eye on your calendar to see when he spawns. This boss is one of the deadliest monsters that you will come across in Lost Ark, so make sure you come prepared for a fight. That said, here's a quick rundown on everything you need to know in order to defeat Aurion in Lost Ark.

How to defeat Lost Ark boss Aurion

Before you head into the fight, make sure you have an item level of 1385. Yes, you can fight this boss at item level 1325 as well, but if you want to complete the encounter successfully, an item level of 1385 is recommended. Now Aurion specializes mostly in AoE attacks, and his attacks can quite literally wipe you out in one hit. Most importantly, he goes into Berserk mode after 15 minutes. When in Berserk mode, Aurion gains movement speed and attack damage. So, ending the encounter before Aurion enters this mode is important, otherwise he can be quite difficult to handle.

Here's a list of the attacks Aurion deals out, and how you can counter them.

AttackEffectCounter
AoE BlastAurion charges and releases a blast in a circular radius around him.Dodge out of the red area to avoid taking any damage.
ChargeAurion charges head-on, in a straight line.Marker unavailable. Keep an eye on when he's getting ready to charge. Once he charges at you, dodge out of the way.
Wave RollAurion calls waves that cover the battlefield. You could dodge the waves. Bards and Paladins can use their shields to block the waves as well.
Water GeyserRandom water jets shoot out of the ground. No markers for this attack either. So you will have to rely on your luck if you want to dodge this.
Waterball BoomerangA boomerang in the form of a waterball. Deals damage just like a boomerang would, in two stages. Once while traveling away from the boss and once while traveling back to the boss. You can't dodge the first attack. However, don't stay in the same place if you want to avoid being hit by the waterball on its way back to Aurion.
Crashing Water RingThis is a delayed AoE energy attack. The attack also pulses for a few seconds after it is activated. Stick to the shorelines, since this attack covers almost the entire island.
