MapleStory Soul Tier List

Try to collect them all!

MapleStory is a classic of the RPG genre, with the current version mixing up classic 2D side-scrolling action with MMO elements, allowing you to play online with friends. You’ll want to team up too, as it makes leveling up and taking on the game’s toughest bosses much more manageable.

Best SS-Tier souls in MapleStory

Lotus

You’ll need to be level 190 to take on Lotus, while you’ll also have to have completed Act Six of Black Heaven, in the Black Heaven Core. The battle is in three parts (taking on the Core, Lotus, and then Runaway Lotus) and you’ll have to complete them all within 30 minutes.

Lucid

Lucid is the boss you’ll find at the top of the Tower of Nightmares. The level requirement is 220 and you’ll need to have completed the Lachelen questline up to the point where you receive the Arcane Symbol. You have 30 minutes to complete the battle.

Best S-Tier souls in MapleStory

Pink Bean

You’ll need to progress through the Time Temple before you are able to take on Pink Bean. This means grinding 200 mobs in one area and also taking down their boss. The Pink Bean fight sees you having to take down all its statues before you can tackle it. Put your whole party on one statue at a time for the best chance of success.

Von Bon

Taking on this chicken is tougher than it may seem at first, largely due to the eight-minute timer on the battle. Fail to take it down in that time, and you’ll have to wait another 10 minutes before you can try again. Don’t let Von Bon stand in white circles if possible, as this speeds up the timer.

MapleStory souls

While I consider these the best souls to battle and collect in MapleStory, this is of course subjective. These are worth aiming for, but all souls are worth collecting and some of the lower-tier souls (especially Mu Gong) are still considered strong at end-game. So keep these in mind, but take on whatever you can handle and enjoy.
