In Episode 1 of Martha Uncovered, a behind-the-scenes series for the Martha is Dead video game published on the Wired Productions (the publisher of the game) YouTube channel, the creators of the game went deeper into the process. Lorenzo Nocchi, the 3D artist for the game, explains within the video that it was important to the creators of the game to differentiate themselves from other horror titles and delve deeper into the psychological horror aspect of the game. For this reason, they created Martha is Dead to have no jumpscares.

Martha is Dead - About the game

Martha is Dead is an upcoming psychological horror mystery video game set in Italy during World War II in 1944. Martha and Guillia are twins who often spend their days together until an awful tragedy occurs. You must help unravel the mystery of who is responsible for the murder, all the while the dread and horror draw in closer. Martha is Dead will be released digitally on Feb. 24, 2022, on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
