Metalhead gamers who watched The Game Awards had an awesome treat when Metal: Hellsinger was revealed. There hasn't been a game quite like this since Brütal Legend, and this one goes even harder, so we're excited to see what is in store!
There is no official release date for the new rock genre title as of yet, but it is scheduled for release sometime in 2022.
The game includes well-known heavy metal acts that will have fans of the bands, and even of metal, in general, itching to play this game once it releases. The bands that are featured in the game are as follows:
- Trivium's Matt Heafy
- Arch Enemy
- Lamb of God
- Refused
- INVSN
- Soilwork
- Black Crown Initiate

The title is a rhythm-based shooter, meaning you will literally be rocking out to the soundtrack whilst you go around dishing some brutality and destroying your enemies. You can watch the trailer below along with Matt Heafy's official announcement regarding his involvement in the project.
Video games have never really shone away from using rock soundtracks to amplify their "badassery," just look at Wolfenstein and Doom! However, to have a game solely focused on it is something we haven't seen it a while, and so it will be a welcomed title next year when it launches!
