What is the NBA 2K22 Season 3 Excursion event?

The Season 3 Excursion event is a trip to the Northern Lights. Players will get the chance to watch a light show under the stars, then play unique park games off the cruise ship.

The release date for the Excursion event has yet to be revealed, but stay tuned for more information. Last season, the Excursion event took place on a remote island with players able to team up to take on NBA legends in 4 vs. 4 games.

Season 3 is winter-themed, so many of the rewards will be based on icy designs and holiday prints. The Northern Lights Excursion event is expected to have double XP and most likely a reward for completing several games or winning against certain competition.

2K Sports states that the Northern Lights show will last for 30 minutes, so it could be a live event or an optional activity part of the Excursion. Based on previous Excursions, the Northern Lights event should release around the halfway point of the season, which happens to be around the end of the year.
