Amazon's new MMO New World just launched a few days ago and already has seen a massive number of players. The day after launch saw over 700,000 concurrent players, and it has lost no steam. Unfortunately, this large number of players has come with a long queue to log in.
The long queue may have you trying to stay in-game rather than logging out. If New World senses you are AFK, though, it will kick you from the server. This occurs after 25 minutes of being AFK. You will receive a warning around the 20-minute mark before you are kicked.

Some players are reporting, though, that they have been kicked at the 20-minute mark. To avoid being considered AFK, there are a few things you can do. New World requires some form of input to determine that you are not AFK. This could be walking, attacking, or simply moving your mouse.
This 20-25 minute window should be ample time to take a bathroom break or grab a bite to eat. In general, you should take breaks, especially if you are playing for long periods. As long as you are nearby to move your mouse or make an input, you should stay in the game.
