Mining is an important trade in New World, and there are many different ores to mine. Ores are divided into different tiers based on their rarity, and each tier requires a certain level of mining before you can mine these precious veins.
One rare ore is Starmetal. This is a tier 2 ore that requires a mining skill of level 100. There are two different ways to craft Starmetal ingots, which you will need to craft Starmetal recipes. There are two ways to craft Starmetal ingots. They are:
Recipe 1 - Crafting
- Steel Ingot x2
- Charcoal x2
- Starmetal Ore x6
- Flux x1
Recipe 2 - Downgrading
- Orichalcum Ingot x2
- Weak Solvent x3
Recipe 1 will require the use of a level four smelter, while recipe 2 will require the use of a level three smelter. A smelter's level will increase if a town upgrades it. If you prefer not to track down any of these ingredients, you can purchase Starmetal at trading posts, though you will be at the mercy of player prices.
While you only need a mining level of 100 to mine Starmetal veins, you will need a mining level of 125 to track it. Without the ability to track it, you will have to search it out and visually identify it. With tracking, you can simply follow a waypoint and find it.
