There are five types of Archetypes in PGA Tour 2K23 - Greensman, Powerhouse, Rhythm, Sculptor, and Woodsman. If you are a beginner and want to start your career immediately, you should choose something like Powerhouse for its long and powerful shot perks before changing to other suitable options.

Best Archetypes for Beginners in PGA Tour 2K23

  • Powerhouse: Powerhouse archetypes are extremely beginner friendly from the get-go due to their ability to cover a long distance. This ability of Powerhouse instills confidence in new players to complete challenging holes during the initial learning phase when players cannot hit straight and powerful shots. This archetype especially comes in handy during your initial amateur tournaments like Q-School Championship, where there are several holes with more than 250 yards.
  • Rhythm: Rhythm is an archetype for beginners struggling to learn the art of timing shots. The perk provides natural timing stability while falling behind in covering long distances. You can find quite a bit of success using these archetypes in smaller holes while struggling on large ones.
  • Greensman: This archetype is a fantastic perk that beginners can switch to if they are facing a tough time putting in the last stage. With increased stats for the climax procedure, you can almost guarantee not missing any shots within the putting range on the grass unless you are trying for a trick shot. Make sure you are not using the archetype outside the grass for any reason.

Remember, you can always switch to any archetype before the start of the round, so make sure to analyze the difficulties you will face in the course and select an archetype according to it.
