Pikmin Bloom not counting steps fix for Android

Pikmin Bloom uses the fitness information from your Google account to show your steps in the app. However, Pikmin Bloom may not always have the latest step count from your Google account. Pikmin Bloom may take up to several hours to sync with your Google account and track your activity correctly.

Follow these methods if the steps don't reflect even after several hours:

Restart your device

To make sure your steps are counted in Pikmin Bloom, you may need to restart your device first. If that doesn’t work, please check the following settings on your device. Keep in mind that the names and locations of these settings may vary depending on your device model.

Google Fit settings

To sync your steps with Pikmin Bloom, you need to install the Google Fit app first. However, if you are an Android user and your Google Account is for a child under 13 years old (or the age limit for your country), you won’t be able to use Google Fit. In that case, you can skip this step.

Next, open the Google Fit app and follow these steps:

  • Tap Profile.
  • Tap the gear button on the top right corner of the screen.
  • Under Tracking Preferences, make sure the Track your activity toggle is on.
  • Tap Connected Apps and check if Pikmin Bloom is connected.

Turn off Low Power mode

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Battery and Device Care.
  3. Tap Battery.
  4. Turn off Battery Saver Mode (Stamina Mode).
  5. Turn off Restrict apps and the home screen and check if the situation improves.

If you are using Android 12, please check if the Battery Saver is turned off.

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Battery.
  3. Tap Battery Saver.
  4. Turn "Use Battery Saver" off.

Steps counted in the Pikmin Bloom app are linked to the Apple Health app. Pikmin Bloom may not always show Apple Health’s most up-to-date step count. Sometimes, it can take a few hours for Pikmin Bloom to get the latest data from Apple Health and track your activity correctly. You can try restarting the game to make it sync faster.

If your steps are counted in Health but not reflected in Pikmin Bloom, please check the following settings:

Health App Settings

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Health
  3. Tap Data Access & Devices
  4. Tap Pikmin Bloom
  5. Make sure the Steps option is enabled

Location Services Settings

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Privacy
  3. Tap Location Services
  4. Tap Pikmin Bloom
  5. Tap Allow Always

Battery Settings

Sensors required for step tracking may be disabled in low-power modes. Visit the Apple Support site and learn how to turn Low Power Mode on and off on your iOS device.

If your steps still aren’t counted with these settings, restarting your device may help solve the issue.
