Pokémon Legends: Arceus introduces many new mechanics to the Pokémon formula. These include catching and battling Pokémon, the overworld, and more. A lot of mechanics were also removed from previous games. This may leave players wondering if there are held items in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

There are no held items in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. This is because Pokémon can no longer hold items. This means items that typically would aid the Pokémon in battle (like berries) are either not in the game or have different uses now. This may shock players who have grown accustomed to held items.

There are numerous other changes in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but this is perhaps one of the biggest. Battle items gave certain Pokémon an edge or use that they didn't have. Many Pokémon also evolved using held items.
