In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Cherrim is a sole Grass-type Pokémon. It will evolve from Cherubi (at level 25) and will come with a decent special attack stat. Cherrim is easy to overlook but can really pack a punch in battle.
Since Cherrim is a sole Grass-type Pokémon, many of its strongest moves will also be Grass-type. Pokémon who use moves that match their typing will benefit from S.T.A.B. (Same Type Attack Bonus). This means their moves will do increased damage in battle. The best moves for Cherrim are Double-Edge, Petal Dance, Energy Ball, and Draining Kiss.
Move Name | Move Type | Category | Power | Accuracy | PP |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Double-Edge | Normal | Physical | 120 | 100 | 15 |
Petal Dance | Grass | Special | 180 | 100 | 10 |
Energy Ball | Grass | Special | 135 | 100 | 10 |
Draining Kiss | Fairy | Special | 50 | 100 | 10 |
Cherrim can learn Double-Edge at level 37 (masters at level 48), Petal Dance at level 47 (masters at level 59), Energy Ball at level 21 (masters at level 31), and Draining Kiss at level 15 (masters at level 25).
How to use Cherrim best in battle
Cherrim is a solely Grass-type Pokémon, so players using it need to be aware of its strengths and weaknesses. Grass-type Pokémon are vulnerable to Fire, Flying, Ice, Poison, and Bug-type attacks. Grass-type attacks will be super effective against Water, Rock, and Ground-type Pokémon.
Cherrim's base stats
- Stat Total: 450
- HP: 70
- Attack: 60
- Defense: 70
- Special Attack: 87
- Special Defense: 78
- Speed: 85
Cherrim has a decent special attack stat, making it much more suited to special attacks than physical attacks. Because of this, players should prioritize special attacks over physical attacks when in battle and when choosing which moves to give the Pokémon.
