Best moves for Crobat in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

I am too proud of my Shiny Crobat.

Crobat is one of the fastest Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus with a Base Speed of 130. This, coupled with its decent defensive stats and good Attack stat, makes it very good to use in almost any team composition. With both Flying and Poison S.T.A.B. (Same Type Attack Boost), Crobat has good coverage against quite a few Pokémon. These are the best moves Crobat to use in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Crobat will learn Cross Poison at level 25 (masters at 35), Leech Life at level 43 (masters at 54), and both Zen Headbutt and Aerial Ace can be learned from Zisu.

How to use Crobat best in battle

Cross Poison has a high critical hit ratio and is capable of poisoning the target. With it, Crobat has coverage against Grass and Fairy Types. Poison only has four Types that resistant it, making Poison rather strong against a majority of Pokémon.

Aerial Ace is Crobat's other S.T.A.B. move and while Air Slash has stronger Base Power, Crobat's higher Attack Stat makes more Aerial Ace stronger. This move gives Crobat coverage against Grass, Bug, and Fighting Type Pokémon.

Zen Headbutt is mainly only useful when fighting other Crobats but still offers nice neutral coverage against a lot of Pokémon. It is strong against Fighting and Poison Type Pokémon. Leech Life is a good move for recovery but can be swapped for X-Scissor which has a high critical hit ratio. Both moves give coverage against Grass, Psychic, and Dark Types. A case can be made for Shadow Ball or Dark Pulse but they are very rarely going to be better to use than its other moves given that the only new Typing they cover is Ghost Types.

Crobat's base stats

  • Stat Total: 535
    • HP: 85
    • Attack: 90
    • Defense: 80
    • Special Attack: 70
    • Special Defense: 80
    • Speed: 130

Crobat's greatest strength is its Speed and even if it doesn't knock out opposing Pokémon in one hit, it will often move twice in a row anyway. Being weak to Psychic, Ice, and Electric moves are easy to counter as Crobat will often move multiple times in a row before a Pokémon can get a single move off against it.
