Best moves for Therian Landorus in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Therian differs from Incarnate.

Therian Landorus' best moves in Pokémon Legends: Arceus are Bulldoze, Crunch, Earth Power, and Sandsear Storm. We picked these moves based on Landorus' base stats and the S.T.A.B (same type attack bonus). This bonus yields a 50 percent increase in damage output if the chosen move shares the Pokémon's typing.

Therian Landorus' Most Powerful Moves

Since Landorus is a ground and flying-type Pokémon, we'll take a closer look at its best moves in question. Crunch is a physical dark-type move learned at level 41 (mastered at 54) with an attack power of 80—strong for a move that doesn't share the Pokémon's type. Bulldoze is a physical ground-type move learned at level 14 (mastered at 25) with an attack power of 90 and takes full advantage of the STAB. Earth Power, however, is a special ground-type move learned at level 47 (mastered at 59) with an immense attack power of 135.

Sandsear Storm is a ground-type move and Therian Landorus' best offensive option, learned last at level 52 (mastered at 65), with a staggering power of 142.5. Like Earth Power, Sandsear Storm makes great use of the STAB even as a special move. And even if Therian Landorus' strength is its raw attack power by far, this Pokémon's special attack stat is its second-best stat. The rest, especially HP, come in average or a bit below.

Therian Landorus' Best Stats

  • Stat Total: 600
    • HP: 89
    • Attack: 145
    • Defense: 90
    • Special Attack: 105
    • Special Defense: 80
    • Speed: 91

This means physical attacks rather than special attacks should usually be Therian Landorus' forte in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Both stats are incredibly high, and many other powerful moves such as Stone Edge or even Giga Impact can be learned for a price from Zisu at the Training Grounds in Jubilife Village. Still, the latter requires an entire turn to recharge and would nullify any help Therian Landorus can provide with its already lowered speed base stat from its Incarnate Forme. The dragon-type move Outrage, meanwhile, could be a viable replacement for Crunch.

Other purchased moves such as Psychic or Hyper Beam are powerful moves and can be considered alternative options, but both have noticeably low PP, and they are special moves. You may find a great use for Therian Landorus in providing excellent coverage to get you through Hisui quickly and efficiently, over a longer amount of time, and with PP to spare.

Landorus is a part of the legendary Generation V trio, including Thundurus and Tornadus, and can be found during the post-game only after getting the Reveal Glass from Cogita and completing the Pokédex entry for Enamorus. Touch Incarnate Landorus with the glass any time, and it will change to its Therian Forme. Therian Landorus' power is high, especially as a legendary Pokémon, and would be a great choice to strengthen your party while building out your Pokédex. Be sure to also take advantage of its best nature, which adds a further 10 percent attack increase.
