Can you get non-Hisuian starters in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?

No nostalgic friends this time around.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the newest entry in the Pokémon franchise, introducing players to a new region and unique Pokémon. Like several past mainline entries, players will encounter a variety of regional variants in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, including new versions of the final evolutions for the starters, but can players grab the original versions of Typlosion, Decidueye, and Samurott in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?

Players cannot get non-Hisuian starters in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Only the Hisuian versions of each of the starter Pokémon's final evolutions are available in this entry in the series. Non-Hisuian variants are not eligible for transfer into the game either, meaning previous renditions of these popular Pokémon won't appear this time.

While players won't add the original starters to their team, the shiny variants for the Hisuian forms of Typhlosion, Decidueye, and Samurott boast color palettes that mimic the original designs. It may take some time to track down a shiny, but those aiming for a bit of nostalgia may find the effort worth the struggle.
