How to change the Pokémon in your party in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Pokémon Legends: Arceus may have expanded just about every aspect of the game, but Pokémon are still at the forefront. The Pokémon in your party will earn EXP from completing quests and battling other Pokémon. So it is important to put Pokémon you are looking to get stronger or to evolve into your party. Here is how you can change the Pokémon in your party in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Pastures

All players need to do to change the Pokémon that are in their party, is head to the nearest Pasture in Jubilife Village. Speak with the NPC at the gate of a Pasture and she will assist you in changing the current active Pokémon in your party out for ones that are currently relaxing in one of the Pastures.

Since there are no computers in the Hisui region, you cannot easily store your extra Pokémon in a PC Box. Pastures work in the same way that PC Boxes have in previous games, storing all of the Pokémon you have caught on your journey. There are a total of eight Pastures in the game, each with 30 slots available to hold Pokémon. If for some reason all of those Pastures fill up, you have the option to release Pokémon back into the wild to free up some space.

Camps

Camps are designed as rest points in the wild for players to gather their bearings—be it for crafting, purchasing items, resting for health boosts, or switching your Pokemon. To switch your Pokemon party at a camp, speak to the Galaxy Member and choose the I want to see my Pokemon option. This will allow players access to the Pokemon stored within Pastures.

Camps are an efficient alternative when traversing the wild, as players are not forced to return to Jubilife Village just to switch out their Pokemon. Players are introduced to camp quite early on as Professor Laventon sets up shop in the Obsidian Fieldlands at the Fieldlands Camp. More camps appear as players progress through the game, and they also allow players to fast travel.

So there you have it, that is how to change the Pokémon in your party. Managing your party and diversifying types of Pokémon is a big part of any Pokémon game and the same remains true for Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
