What is the Technical Machine Machine in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

It's a interesting name, that's for sure.

Other Pokémon games have features with a crafting flavor, but Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will add a crafting component to Technical Machines (TMs) this generation. In a new trailer, gameplay footage was shown of the Technical Machine Machine to be introduced in the Paldean region. Here's what we know about it.

What is the Technical Machine Machine from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

The Technical Machine Machine seems to be a device found in Pokémon Centers that you can use to create TMs and discs to teach Pokémon new moves for battle. There's an extensive menu featured in the trailer around the 4:45 minute mark. TM crafting seems to require League Points and components found while defeating or catching wild Pokémon to be crafted. There also seemed to be an option to exchange components found from wild Pokémon for more League Points if you run low and have materials to spare.

Given the Paldean region's new Tera Type phenomenon, players may need easier access to a variety of TMs, since this new feature will significantly shake up traditional typing. It appears Pokémon still have some limitations to what TMs they can learn. However, having the ability to craft multiple copies of TMs will hopefully help trainers to prepare their Pokémon to adapt when necessary.
