Pokémon Go players can complete the What Lies Beneath the Mask questline to receive the rare Galarian Yamask regional variant. The full list of quests and rewards can be found below:

Quest 1/4:

• Catch 40 Ghost-type Pokémon - 400 Stardust
• Transfer nine caught Pokémon - Duskull encounter
• Make 49 Nice Throws - Nine Ultra Balls

Reward: Nine Nanab Berries, 4,000 XP, and a Yamask encounter

Quest 2/4:

• Catch 40 Ghost-type Pokémon - Pikachu encounter (Halloween Hat Variant)
• Make nine Curveball Throws - 490 Stardust
• Catch 49 Pokémon with the help of Berries - Banette encounter

Reward: Nine Razz Berries, 4,000 XP, and a Galarian Yamask encounter

Quest 3/4:

• Catch 40 Ghost-type Pokémon - 400 Stardust
• Catch nine different species of Ghost-type Pokémon - Alolan Marowak encounter
• Make 49 Great Throws - 49 Poké Balls

Reward: Nine Pinap Berries, 4,000 XP, and a Galarian Yamask encounter

Quest 4/4:

• Claim reward - 49 XP
• Claim reward - 49 XP

How to catch Galarian Yamask in Pokémon Go

When players are rewarded with a Galarain Yamask encounter, it will be very much the same as other Pokémon encounters. The Pokémon will appear on the player's screen and they will need to throw Poké Balls to catch it. Quest-related encounters cannot be failed, so no need to worry if players miss a throw or two when attempting the catch.
