What is the move Obstruct in Pokémon GO and how do you get it?

Learn a new Dark-type move!

Every month, Pokémon GO players can participate in a Community Day event. Each Community Day, one Pokémon will be featured, having its shiny form's spawn rate increased and a special move attached to its evolution. For the August 2022 Community Day, players can catch Galarian Zigzagoon. Evolving this Pokémon during the Community Day event will allow it to learn the move Obstruct.

Is Obstruct a good move in Pokémon GO?

Obstruct is a Dark-type move and does 15 damage in Trainer Battles and 20 damage in Gym and Raid Battles. This move also increases the user's defense while simultaneously lowering the opponent's defense. This can be extremely helpful in any battle and can give players an edge over their opponent. Obstruct is a nice Dark-type move to boost a Pokémon's power in battle.

How can you get the move Obstruct in Pokémon GO?

To obtain this move in Pokémon GO, players will need to first catch a Galarian Zigzagoon. The Pokémon will then need to be evolved into Obstagoon during the August 2022 Community Day event. At the time of writing, this is the only way to obtain Obstruct and the move can only be learned by an Obstagoon. Players will likely be able to teach an Obstagoon the move at a later time using the Elite Charged TM as well, but that has not been confirmed.
