Resident Evil 4 gets free VR update for The Mercenaries

More content for RE 4 is here!

Resident Evil 4 VR was a smash hit in October 2021. As the fastest-selling game in the Oculus Quest's history, it's no surprise that developers want to capitalize on that success by creating more content for the classic horror game's VR rendition.

Resident Evil 4 VR finally adapts the popular The Mercenaries Mode for Meta Quest 2. The Mercenaries is available now as a free update for Resident Evil 4 VR. Characters like Ada, Hunk, Wesker, and Krauser were previewed during the reveal, along with challenge modes Wild West, Avast Ye Matey, and The Cover of Night.

Not only will players experience a rebuild of the acclaimed Resident Evil 4 content in VR, but there will also be new modes, skins, and weapons available for story mode. Some standouts include Classic Horror Mode and Big Head Mode.

Competitive players can even compete and rank on online leaderboards. Resident Evil 4's Mercenaries Mode was revealed during the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase 2022.
