How to beat Riddle School 5 – Walkthrough Guide

Riddle School 5 is a free puzzle game you can play in your browser via Crazy Games, much like Escape the Bathroom. The story follows directly on from previous Riddle School games, where you may have presumed our hero Phil had been killed by Mr. Munch. Instead, he finds himself in a small, sealed room with his friends trapped in similar rooms but unconscious. Once again, it is up to you (well, Phil) to save the day by pointing and clicking your way to safety.

Part one: Getting out of alien prison

After the intro concludes, click under the bed to find an Alien Coin (1a). Pick it up, then check the Vent Cover (1b). Use the coin on each screw on the cover to open it, pick up the three Screws, then leave out of the vent by clicking the large arrow.

In the next room, click on the Tile Device (2a). You’ll need to light up each number underneath the panel (in any order) by clicking tiles, each of which will flip itself and the tiles orthogonally adjacent to it when pressed.  Click tiles 6, 8, 3, 3, 7, 2, 5, 4, and 7 (if you picture the tiles being numbered left to right, top to bottom). You can now use the device with the Red Button (2b) to go invisible (but you don’t need to yet).

Go up the ramp and through the green barrier, and into the door marked Subject #1831. You’ll find Smiley asleep in the cell, covered with a forcefield. Click on the wall on the right of the room to find a secret door (3a). Crawl inside to find a piece of Steak. Go back outside and walk down the hall left, past the Flower Room, and into the door marked Subject #7272. Pick up the Key Card from the floor there in Phred’s room, then go back and into the Flower Room.

Part two: The Life Transferring Station

Pick up the Tray from the desk and the Potted Plant from the ground. Use the tray on the soil on the floor to fill it with soil, then head back to the room with the Tile Device and go right. You’ll see an Alien guarding a door to the right, plus two other exits. Click the orange barrier, go right twice, then into the room of Subject #6553 (Zack). Get the Screw from under his bed and read the feeding instructions for Oswald (the alien) on the wall.

Go out and left, then into the Life Transferring Station. Put your steak on the tray of dirt, then put the tray on the counter marked Dead animal goes here. Put the plant on the living thing aside. Click the Power Panel in the middle (underneath the screen) and insert the four screws into the colored holes to fire it up. Then click the green arrow to transform the items. Take the Live Steak in a Tray and the Dirt Flower back from the counters, and head back to the Tile Device Room.

Use the key card to open your cell door (2c), then go inside and put the meat tray on the vent. Click the red button to go invisible, after which Oswald will run past you and into the cell. Use the key card on your cell door once more to trap him inside. Now go right once more and through the door Oswald was guarding.

Part three: The Dreams Chair

Click the Number Pad on the arm of the chair, enter 1831, then press the tick to enter Smiley’s Dream. Take the Ruler, then click the globe twice and take the Gum from the globe. Combine the gum and ruler and use them on the Airvent underneath the blackboard to get the Elastic Band. Use the band on the teacher, then talk to Smiley. Once Smiley stands up, click on her again to end the dream.

Now input 6553 into the chair to enter Zack’s Dream. Pick up the four quarters (4a) and give them to Phred, who will give you his Favorite Whistle. Use it, click on Zack, and the dream will end. Now enter Phred’s Dream by entering 7272 on the chair pad. Read the note on the floor, telling you where Phred needs to sit. Talk to Phred and ask if he’d like to wear your Sweatshirt.

Press the Thermostat, which is the button underneath the math poster on the back wall. Ask him about your sweatshirt again, and he’ll put it on. With the class all sat down, click Phred, and the dream will be over.

Go to each of your friends’ rooms (in any order) and speak with each of them, and they will head back to Earth in escape pods. Head back to the room Oswald was originally in and through the door you haven’t been through yet (on the right, with the down arrow). Click the remaining Escape Pod, then meet Viz and Diz, your captors.

Use the Code Desk (5a) and click the buttons to match the numbers 1, 4, 3, 5, and 2. This opens the slot underneath so that you can take the Key. Grab the Toothpaste next to the sink, click the sink, then use your coin to undo the screw and take the Faucet. Use the Tile Device, which works in the same way as the previous one. Press 7, 6, 2, 2, 9, 5, 1, 4, 4, 6, 3, 2, 8, 7, then press the button on the left statue (5b) to reverse the gravity in the room.

From the roof, click the Light Screen (5c) on your left and press the lights so that they mirror those on the picture on the wall (5d). The ones to click (x) are as follows (from the top row to bottom): -xx xxx -x- -x-. When the hatch on it closes, click the button in the top-left of the screen (5e).

Use the toothpaste on the mug to fix it, use the faucet on the mug, then use the extendable mug to get some Lava Java. Use the righthand statue to go back to the roof and use the Lava Java on the Wooden Board (5f) to clear the Access Panel.

Click the panel and use the key to open it, which covers up the lava pit. Click the top-right button (5g) to come back to the ground, use the Ship’s Wheel, and enjoy the final cut scene. Congrats, you beat Riddle School 5!
