The three Avatar items are the Block Partier, Samba, and Cha Cha emotes. These freebies will appear in your Roblox Inventory permanently and can be equipped to use in any Roblox experience that allows emotes. You will also get three separate badges for redeeming the emotes in-game.

These emotes are meant to celebrate the In the Heights Block Party experience on Roblox. A scavenger hunt is also available to play in-game where players search the block for 10 lottery balls. If you complete the scavenger hunt you will get Usnavi's Hat, an in-game item. Usnavi's Hat is not an Avatar item and will not appear in your Roblox Inventory.

There are many individual events scheduled for the Roblox In the Heights Block Party like the Lights Out Event, a Q&A Party, and a Virtual Flash Mob dancy party. The entire event runs from June 4 to June 20. The schedule is as follows:

Thursday, June 10 (10am PT)

  • Lights Out Event
  • Q&A Viewing Party
  • Exclusive clip from In the Heights

Friday, June 11 (10am PT, 6pm PT)

  • Virtual Flash Mob Event

The Roblox In the Heights Block Party coincides with the June 11 release of the musical drama film directed by Jon M. Chu. The story follows a New York City bodega owner in Washington Heights who saves his money to build a better life for himself. Based on the four-time Tony award-winning musical by Lin Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) and Quiara Alegría Hudes (Water by the Spoonful), In the Heights is set in the primarily Dominican neighborhood of Washington Heights and touches upon themes of culture, identity, and gentrification.
