Slayers 2 Demon Art Tier List – Best Demon Arts Ranked

Who needs swordsmanship when your blood itself comes with a moveset?

Updated September 26, 2026 for V0.182: Shockwave remains my best overall Blood Demon Art, with Pyrokinesis close behind after receiving cleaner Z recovery and a faster, longer ultimate dash. Obi Manipulation moves into S tier because its whole pressure loop is now far more threatening against guard, while Arrow and Dream gain meaningful PvE buffs. Blood Manipulation also gets a small bossing boost, but not enough to undo its earlier damage and Sickle nerfs.

Recommended Videos

Shockwave remains my early V0.182 pick for the best Blood Demon Art in Slayers 2, but the top tier is much tighter now. Shockwave still has the best mix of strict-stun conversion, steerable pressure, armor-breaking counterplay, and flexible close-range punishment. Pyrokinesis is the cleaner burst choice, and its shorter Z recovery plus faster ultimate engage make failed or distant openings less costly. Obi is the biggest mover: it now attacks guard from almost every part of the kit instead of leaning on one obvious break attempt.

I rank each Slayers 2 Blood Demon Art on the complete kit: useful damage windows, mobility, crowd control, defense, and how well its attacks work together. Bossing and dueling reward different things. A barrage that lets your party keep attacking can be exceptional in PvE, while a counter or a well-placed catch can decide a duel before the biggest finisher ever comes out.

In general, my philosophy here is that an Art gets recommended when its attacks are easy to confirm, difficult to punish, useful at several ranges, or capable of forcing an opponent into situations where your next move becomes easier to land. The opposite is also true: enormous damage doesn't mean much if the attack takes forever to start and everyone can see it coming.

These are early V0.182 rankings, not a fixed verdict on the meta. A specialist can outperform a broader pick with the right build and execution. I weigh the cost of a mistake, guard pressure that works against an actual defender, and whether an Art can create a second opening after the first burst. The current health pass makes clean second rotations more important, while Nightfall Hunt gives finishers extra value once a target falls below 30% health.

Demon ArtEvaluation
SShockwave

All-Rounder · Counter · Burst

Kit:
Air Type, Compass Needle, Explosive Fury, Flashing Willow, Annihilation Type; Chaotic Afterglow variant.
Best for:
Hybrid; reactive melee and ranged-to-melee pressure
Difficulty:
High
Synergy:
Soyama for damage conversion and an alternative counter on the shared timer; Kamado for control and sustain.
  • Shockwave stays first because V0.182 does not touch the mechanics that win neutral. Z still strict stuns on impact, C remains steerable, and X still breaks hyper armor. Its block damage is lower than it was before V0.17, but landing the catch still produces one of the safest conversions in the current Demon meta.
  • The counter is still the kit’s matchup changer. A successful X interrupts armored offense and buffs Z and C with +15% movement speed and +15% damage. Counters share one cooldown globally, so Soyama or War Fans offers another trigger choice, not a second independent safety net.
  • C pressures movement better than it pressures a held guard. Steering the barrage while moving at 65 speed lets you follow lateral escape and keep a target inside the active hitbox. Its reduced block damage means disciplined opponents can defend it, so the stronger route is to punish movement or a committed attack.
  • V gives Shockwave flexible close-range punishment. Tap slams immediately, hold keeps the jump, and both slam variants have hyper armor. Armor prevents interruption but not damage, so this is a calculated trade rather than a free defensive button.
  • Shockwave remains the safest all-round recommendation. Pyrokinesis now challenges it on burst and Obi applies nastier guard pressure, but neither combines strict-stun conversion, an armor-breaking counter, steerable offense, and usable PvE damage as cleanly.
SPyrokinesis

Also called Explosive Blood / Blood Burst

Burst · Tracking · Pursuit

Kit:
Blood Tiles, Blood Rupture; remaining current move names: TBA.
Best for:
Hybrid; burst pressure and secured punish windows
Difficulty:
Moderate
Synergy:
Kamado for an extra close-range opening; Nightfall Hunt for low-health finishing pressure.
  • Pyrokinesis is the strongest pure-damage alternative to Shockwave. The previous 25% Z damage buff and 30% faster C barrage already made its successful openings hurt. V0.182 now removes 0.2 seconds of Blood Tiles endlag, so a landed Z flows more cleanly and a miss is less likely to hand over the entire exchange.
  • Blood Rupture reaches fights more reliably. The ultimate dashes 20% faster and farther, which improves long punish windows and helps catch players who thought they had reset to neutral. It still does not continue after breaking guard or leave the target at your feet for a free follow-up combo.
  • The tracking package remains excellent. V follows the target’s current position, held X travels at 65 speed, and C can be redirected during the move. That makes the kit forgiving at several ranges without turning every raw cast into a guaranteed hit.
  • C uses hyper armor, not i-frames. You can force the barrage through a light interruption, but you still take damage during the commitment. High-health opponents and First Light’s defensive proc make careless trades less decisive than they look on a training dummy.
  • Pyrokinesis is broad enough for S tier and easier to convert than most specialists. Nightfall Hunt complements its finishing identity against targets below 30% health, but the Art still needs a real opening. Shockwave stays narrowly ahead because its counter and strict stun create those openings more safely.
SObi Manipulation

Guard Pressure · Control · Mix-ups

Kit:
Obi Barrage, Obi Pursuit, Obi Grab, Obi Field, Obi Charge.
Best for:
Hybrid; PvP pressure, grouped enemies, and area denial
Difficulty:
High
Synergy:
Shabana for nearby-party support; Douma for defensive recovery. No exclusive Obi multiplier is confirmed.
  • Obi moves into S tier because V0.182 upgrades the whole pressure sequence, not one isolated finisher. It was already dangerous after its 10% kit-wide damage buff and added guardbreak. Now blocking Z, X, C, and V in sequence is a real resource problem instead of an easy way to wait out the mix-up.
  • Obi Barrage is the biggest guard-pressure winner. Each Z hit deals 150% more block damage and the final slash deals 40% more, while hyper armor still covers the jump and air hold. The move can be damaged through, but opponents can no longer treat its long commitment as harmless chip on their guard bar.
  • Obi Pursuit and Obi Grab both gain 40% block damage. That matters because the defender now has to respect multiple approaches before the dedicated break arrives. It also makes your pressure less predictable than repeatedly fishing for V and hoping nobody notices.
  • Obi Field is faster and substantially more useful in PvE. Traps have 25% less delay between activations and deal 30% more damage. The denser timing improves area denial, catches movement sooner, and clears grouped enemies without requiring perfect single-target tracking.
  • Obi Charge can no longer be interrupted. Uninterruptible does not mean invulnerable, so a bad ultimate can still lose a damage trade. Even so, dependable armor on the finisher plus oppressive guard pressure gives experienced Obi players a practical S-tier route in duels and group fights.
AIce Manipulation

Also known as Cryokinesis

All-Rounder · Control · AoE

Kit:
Wintery Icicles, Cold White Princesses, Barren Hanging Garden, Freezing Cloud, Bodhisattva.
Best for:
Hybrid; grouped enemies and PvP control
Difficulty:
High
Synergy:
Douma for defensive repositioning; Shabana for coordinated group damage.
  • Ice Manipulation - also called Cryokinesis - drops from S to the front of A tier. The Art still has excellent AoE, restraint, range variants, and defensive utility, but V0.17 directly weakens the guard and combo routes that made the complete package feel oppressive.
  • X can no longer be inserted freely into a combo. It gains a 0.1-second windup and three additional seconds of cooldown. That sounds small on paper, but the explicit goal is to stop mid-combo use, forcing Ice to establish a separate opening before accessing one of its strongest control tools.
  • Guard pressure is weaker across the kit. Z loses 25% block damage, while only the final hit of the ultimate now guardbreaks and the earlier hits deal less block damage. A defender who blocks the start no longer hands Ice the entire ultimate sequence for free.
  • Cold White Princesses and the ranged/close variants still preserve A-tier flexibility. Wintery Icicles, Hanging Garden, and Freezing Cloud cover several distances and group situations. Block regeneration during stun gaps makes timing important, but the Art still has more answers than most specialists.
  • Douma remains the natural recovery pairing. Clone repositioning can rescue a bad exchange, although shared counter cooldowns limit defensive stacking with War Fans or other counters. Ice is still excellent for control-heavy PvP and farming; it simply has fewer guaranteed links than the two S-tier Arts.
ADream Manipulation

Control · Setup · Zoning

Kit:
Melodic Whisper, Ordained Flesh (also called Flesh Placement), Piercing Flesh, Flesh Barrage, Flesh Monster.
Best for:
Hybrid; setup PvP and control-heavy PvE
Difficulty:
High
Synergy:
Douma for recovering position; Shabana for fighting around a shared zone.
  • Dream remains A, but V0.182 improves the part of the game where it needed help. Z deals 20% more damage and X gains 20% more damage scaling against NPCs and bosses. Those are PvE-only bonuses, so the Art keeps its deliberate PvP identity while farming and boss rotations feel less underpaid.
  • Ranged Z orbs still home onto the target under your cursor. They are reliable enough to force movement and begin a setup, but they do not ignore range, guard, or evasive timing. The real payoff comes from preparing the next catch before the target answers.
  • Its control tools reward planned routes. Melodic Whisper, Ordained Flesh, Piercing Flesh, Flesh Barrage, and Flesh Monster cover several setup shapes. Sleep wake rules and resistance behavior on every boss remain TBA, so I would not sell one theoretical loop as universal.
  • Douma and Shabana support different versions of the build. Douma helps recover position after a failed setup, while Shabana rewards coordinated fighting around the same zone. Neither makes a missed cursor grab safe.
  • Dream is now a more credible hybrid, but still not an S-tier generalist. The PvE buffs improve output after setup; they do not give it Shockwave’s defensive conversion, Pyrokinesis’s immediate burst, or Obi’s current guard pressure.
AArrow

Also known as Arrow Manipulation

Control · Displacement · Ranged Counterplay

Kit:
Arrow Flight, Arrow Smackdown, Koketsu Arrow, Arrow Eruption; remaining current move names: TBA.
Best for:
Hybrid; ranged PvP control, farming, and boss spacing
Difficulty:
Moderate; high positioning ceiling
Synergy:
Yahaba for stamina regeneration and a close-range pulse; coordinated ranged teammates.
  • Arrow remains A and gains a much better PvE case in V0.182. Arrow Flight now deals 35% more damage to NPCs and bosses. Its improved catch range and 60-speed held variant were already reliable, so this bonus lands on a move you actually use rather than padding a forgotten button.
  • Arrow Smackdown keeps the kit consistent. Its improved tracking and tap lock-on make it a dependable displacement tool. In groups, angle the launch carefully so a successful hit does not carry the target out of an ally’s finisher.
  • Koketsu Arrow remains a valuable reversal. It can be activated while stunned, forcing aggressive opponents to respect your answer after they win the first opening. It is not universal invulnerability, and poor timing can still be punished.
  • The kit has range, armor, and real chase distance. X gains hyper armor through its second half and the ultimate travels up to 120 studs. Hyper armor still allows incoming damage, so use it to complete a read, not to volunteer for a bad trade.
  • Arrow is one of the easiest A-tier Arts to recommend for mixed content. Yahaba helps its stamina economy, while the new NPC damage closes part of the bossing gap. It stays below S because displacement can disrupt allied routes and its best catches offer more counterplay than Shockwave or Obi pressure.
AReaper

Mobility · Close Pressure · Aerial Offense

Kit:
Reap of Despair, Diving Punch, Shindo, Phantom Step; Sonido Surge (ultimate).
Best for:
PvP; aggressive pursuit and movement-heavy pressure
Difficulty:
Moderate; high ceiling
Synergy:
Reaper Fighting Style now functions with the Reaper Blood Demon Art; Soyama and Kamado support close pressure.
  • Reaper remains A, and V0.18 finally makes its intended paired build function. The Reaper Fighting Style now works with the Reaper Blood Demon Art. That correction matters more than a small number buff because the build can use its complete close-range package without one half disabling or conflicting with the other.
  • The BDA still earns its place through pursuit. Grounded and airborne Reap of Despair routes, Diving Punch, Shindo, and Phantom Step let you change height and angle instead of approaching every target on the same line.
  • The Fighting Style supplies a cleaner continuation. Cross Reaver now stuns in place instead of knocking the opponent away, which keeps targets close for BDA pressure. Traversal Reap still has a 0.67-second windup and reduced block damage, so confirm it rather than throwing the grab into a waiting guard.
  • Resource discipline separates good Reaper players from enthusiastic tourists. Spending every movement skill to reach one target leaves no pursuit or escape tool for the next exchange. The larger current health pools make that second exchange common.
  • A tier reflects a strong, practical specialist with a higher ceiling after the compatibility fix. I need more time to measure equal-gear boss rotations and identify which Fighting Style-to-BDA links remain fully guaranteed against players with good latency.
BBlood Manipulation

Also known as Blood Sickle

Pulls · Sustained Offense · Group Bossing

Kit:
On Slaught; remaining current move names: TBA.
Best for:
Coordinated PvE groups and specialist pull setups
Difficulty:
Moderate
Synergy:
Sickle; Shabana for M1 poison and party support.
Unlock:
Requires a Sickle. Standard Sickles drop from Hoyuzo; Blood Sickles from Gyutai/Gyutaro. Exact drop rates and level gates: TBA.
  • Blood Manipulation stays B despite a targeted PvE buff. On Slaught (C) gains 10% damage scaling against NPCs and bosses in V0.182. That helps the activity where Blood’s pull and sustained pressure still make sense, but it does not restore the scaling removed in V0.17.
  • The stacked nerfs still define the overall kit. V lost 35% damage, strict stun, and later half its block damage. C previously lost 45% scaling, while the ultimate lost 35% damage and scaling. X also lost its final-hit guardbreak and exchanged i-frames for hyper armor.
  • The required Sickles remain part of the problem. Their Z has less damage, scaling, speed, and block pressure, while X deals less block damage. Blood therefore pays both an Art tax and a weapon tax when compared with stronger standalone packages.
  • The inward pull remains useful against blocking targets. Coordinated teams can turn that displacement into allied damage, and the new On Slaught PvE scaling improves planned boss rotations. Solo PvP still asks for considerably more setup than the S and A tier options.
  • B tier means specialist, not dead. Blood can farm and contribute to organized boss groups, especially with Shabana support, but one NPC-only scaling buff is not enough to erase its weak guard threat and reduced finisher payoff.
BTamari

Also known as Temari

Homing Projectiles · Pressure · Resource Sustain

Kit:
Spinning Throw, Tamari Dunk, Piercing Kick, Tamari Meteor, Spiraling Shot.
Best for:
Ranged PvE and specialist PvP pressure
Difficulty:
Moderate; timing and target selection still matter
Synergy:
Susumaru for stamina returns; Susumaru/Yahaba party bonuses.
  • Tamari remains B as the more stable ranged specialist. Improved target locking and homing continue to reduce attacks lost to small sidesteps or camera alignment, and V0.17 does not directly nerf those consistency gains.
  • Piercing Kick remains the best bridge into the projectile kit. Its improved tracking and hitbox make contact easier before the follow-up input. Sharp lateral movement can still expose the route, so it has not become a universal confirm.
  • Tamari Dunk keeps its flexible release timing. The attack no longer cancels during windup and can be held for up to two seconds. Vary the charge to punish reactions; always waiting for maximum hold simply gives the opponent a calendar reminder.
  • Susumaru supplies the strongest reason to specialize. A successful skill restores 5% Max Stamina and grants a short damage bonus. That resource loop matters more in longer, higher-health fights where Tamari can keep landing controlled projectile pressure.
  • B tier remains the right ceiling until its guard and defensive game improves. Homing is useful, but Tamari still lacks Shockwave’s counter, Pyrokinesis’s new burst, or Arrow’s stun-usable reversal. Block interactions and optimized boss damage remain TBA.

What Is the Best Demon Art in Slayers 2?

Shockwave remains my early best overall pick in V0.182. Z’s strict-stun impact still converts a ranged catch into pressure, C can be steered, X breaks hyper armor, and the tap V slam gives the kit a practical short punish. Its reduced block damage gives patient defenders counterplay, but no other Art combines this many reliable neutral and defensive tools.

Pyrokinesis is the S-tier burst alternative, while Obi is the new guard-pressure specialist. Pyrokinesis now recovers 0.2 seconds sooner after Blood Tiles and Blood Rupture covers 20% more distance at 20% more speed. Obi earns its promotion through much higher block damage across Z, X, and C, faster and stronger V traps, and an ultimate that cannot be interrupted. Ice stays A, while Blood’s small On Slaught PvE buff leaves it in B.

Best Demon Arts by Playstyle

  • Flexible control: Ice Manipulation remains the broad AoE option, but X now needs a deliberate opening rather than functioning as an instant mid-combo extension.
  • Group bossing: Shockwave and Pyrokinesis remain my early damage shortlist. Arrow Flight now deals 35% more damage to NPCs and bosses, while Dream gets PvE-only Z and X buffs. Blood Manipulation’s On Slaught scales 10% better in PvE, but its cumulative Art and Sickle nerfs still make it a niche team choice.
  • Reactive aggression: Shockwave. Its counter breaks hyper armor and strict stun confirms the ranged conversion, although reduced Z and C block damage means you should punish committed attacks instead of pouring the kit into a raised guard.
  • Setup-focused PvP: Dream for cursor-targeted homing orbs and layered placement; Obi for current S-tier guard pressure, faster field traps, and an uninterruptible ultimate.
  • Mobile melee: Reaper. Its Blood Demon Art now works correctly with the Reaper Fighting Style, and Cross Reaver’s in-place stun gives the paired build a cleaner route into close pressure.
  • Ranged control: Arrow is the stronger all-purpose pick thanks to improved catches, tap lock-on, Koketsu Arrow’s stun-usable reversal, and the new Arrow Flight PvE bonus. Tamari is the resource-efficient specialist, especially with Susumaru.

How These Demon Arts Are Ranked

  • S: The leading overall or specialist recommendations, with an unusually valuable combination of combat tools or practical build potential.
  • A: Excellent arts that can compete at the top within their strengths, but make a narrower overall recommendation.
  • B: Viable arts with useful niches, greater setup demands, or meaningful consistency concerns.
  • C: Arts held back by significant consistency problems or stronger alternatives. A useful specialist build can still make one worth keeping.

Rarity, lore strength, visual spectacle, and unlock difficulty do not earn ranking points. A difficult art can still rank highly when its tools reward achievable execution. Clan actives and passives contribute to a build recommendation, but they remain separate from the Demon Art’s own kit.

V0.182 rewards repeatable pressure rather than one guardbreak gimmick. Block regeneration still works during stuns, skill cooldowns remain global, and every counter shares one cooldown. Gear now receives the same 50% Max Health increase, including Firstlight, Nightfall, and Titan pieces, while clan health bonuses are 50% higher. First Light adds a low-health defensive window and Nightfall Hunt adds 15% damage against enemies below 30%, so reliable starters, second rotations, and finishers all matter more than an old training-dummy burst.

Choosing a Clan and Spending Skill Points

Look for an interaction you will actually use. Susumaru’s Tamari refund and Yahaba’s Arrow regeneration directly support those arts. Soyama still rewards damage dealt, but its counter shares the universal counter cooldown with Shockwave and other defensive tools. Douma offers recovery, while Shabana supports nearby allies. Pick the interaction you can execute, not the longest list of actives.

Unlock your Art’s essential attacks, maintain a useful weapon or basic-attack follow-up, and budget for stamina, health, and movement. Resetting or swapping your Evil Art now refunds its skill-tree points, and previously lost points return the next time you join. The exact reset cost and mastery-retention behavior remain TBA. A rotation that leaves no resources to defend is still a poor trade when it misses. Exact optimal stat splits are TBA.

Recheck weapon and Fighting Style follow-ups in the current build. Sickles still carry the V0.17 reductions to Z damage, scaling, speed, and block pressure, plus lower X block damage. Umbrella pressure remains easier to defend after its startup and stun nerfs. Reaper is the important correction: its Fighting Style now works with the Reaper Blood Demon Art, so that paired close-pressure build can finally use the synergy it was supposed to have.

On mobile or console, tune the controls before judging a ranged Art. You can force PC, Mobile, or Console controls; console camera sensitivity now works correctly; and mobile uses a dedicated tool button instead of double tap. Mobile can also dash while blocking in V0.145. It still dashes forward rather than directionally, so Arrow and Tamari spacing remains different from PC even with improved homing.

How I Rank Blood Demon Arts in Slayers 2

A good BDA needs to do more than win against a training dummy. For these rankings, I'm looking particularly closely at how reliably each Art creates opportunities to deal damage. A move that deals slightly less damage but consistently catches opponents, starts combos, or leaves you safe afterward can be much more useful than a gigantic attack that rarely lands. My main criteria are:

  • How difficult the Art is to use consistently
  • Damage and burst potential
  • Combo starters and extensions
  • Range and ability to pressure opponents from neutral
  • Mobility and gap-closing tools
  • Stuns, freezes, slows, knockdowns, counters, and other utility
  • AoE and performance against groups
  • Boss performance
  • PvP pressure and matchup flexibility
  • Cooldowns and resource efficiency
  • Risk versus reward
  • Skill-tree upgrades and passives

PvP and PvE won't always produce the same answer, either. V0.182 deliberately gives Arrow, Dream, and Blood Manipulation extra NPC and boss damage without raising their PvP burst. Pyrokinesis can erase more of a punish window, Shockwave creates the safest repeat openings, and Obi now turns blocking into a much more expensive decision. Counters remain strongest in duels, but shared cooldowns prevent stacking them into several independent defensive turns.

How to Unlock Blood Demon Arts in Slayers 2

Start Muzan’s Demon questline at -40 reputation, then use the Biwa Bell to return to his lair and ask for power. Evil Art Orbs can also come from eligible chests. Consume the appropriate orb, finish its training objectives, and invest in the Skill Tree and mastery. Current roll costs and individual training requirements: TBA.

Blood Manipulation also needs a Sickle. Standard Sickles and Blood Sickles support it, so plan the weapon alongside the Art. Some ultimate skills require boss drops rather than mastery alone. A fresh unlock and a complete build should not be judged as if they have the same tools.

Slayers 2 Blood Demon Arts FAQ

What is the best Blood Demon Art in Slayers 2?

Shockwave remains my early V0.182 overall pick because strict-stun conversion, steerable pressure, and an armor-breaking counter give it answers in the most matchups. Pyrokinesis is the stronger pure-burst alternative, while Obi joins S tier as the best dedicated guard-pressure Art.

How many Blood Demon Arts are in Slayers 2?

There are nine Blood Demon Arts in the current build: Shockwave, Pyrokinesis, Ice Manipulation, Dream Manipulation, Obi Manipulation, Arrow, Reaper, Blood Manipulation, and Tamari. Pyrokinesis was previously called Explosive Blood in this guide, so it is not an additional tenth Art.

What is the best Blood Demon Art for PvP in Slayers 2?

Shockwave remains my early V0.182 PvP pick because its strict-stun catch and armor-breaking counter create reliable openings. Obi is now the nastiest guard-pressure specialist after major block-damage and field buffs, while Pyrokinesis offers the strongest direct burst among the top choices.

What is the best Blood Demon Art for PvE in Slayers 2?

Shockwave and Pyrokinesis remain my broad PvE recommendations, with Obi now much better at clearing and controlling groups. Arrow Flight deals 35% more damage to NPCs and bosses, Dream gains PvE-only Z and X buffs, and Blood Manipulation receives a smaller On Slaught scaling bonus. Equal-gear boss times remain TBA.

Are Project Slayers Blood Demon Art rankings still accurate in Slayers 2?

No. Slayers 2 has reworked Blood Demon Art movesets and a different combat system, so the original game's rankings and combo routes shouldn't be carried over. Familiar names don't guarantee familiar performance: returning arts need to be evaluated alongside the sequel's mechanics, clan synergies, and balance changes.

How do you get a Blood Demon Art in Slayers 2?

Become a Demon, obtain an Evil Art Orb, and complete its training quest. Muzan’s lair provides the roll route. Skills then require Skill Tree investment and mastery; some ultimates are boss drops. Exact current costs are TBA.

Does Blood Manipulation require a weapon?

Yes. Blood Manipulation requires a Sickle. Standard Sickles and Blood Sickles support the Art. Plan that requirement before spending resources on the build.

Are Blood Manipulation and Explosive Blood the same Art?

No. Blood Manipulation is the Sickle-based Art and now sits in B tier after repeated Art and weapon nerfs. Pyrokinesis, previously called Explosive Blood in this guide, is a separate S-tier Art with tracking, steering, faster barrage pressure, and stronger Z damage.

Can you change your Blood Demon Art in Slayers 2?

Yes. Resetting or swapping your Evil Art now refunds your Art skill-tree points, and previously lost points return the next time you join. The exact reset cost and whether mastery is retained remain TBA, so check the current prompt before committing.

Is Tamari the same Blood Demon Art as Temari?

Yes. Tamari and Temari refer to the same projectile-based Art. It moves into B tier in V0.98 because improved target locking, projectile homing, Piercing Kick tracking, and a more reliable Tamari Dunk make its specialist game plan considerably more consistent.

Does your clan have to match your Blood Demon Art?

No. Match the actual bonuses to your playstyle. Soyama supports offensive pressure, Douma provides defensive recovery, and Shabana rewards coordinated groups. Susumaru and Yahaba have more specific interactions with Tamari and Arrow respectively.

Was Blood Manipulation buffed in Slayers 2 V0.182?

Only in PvE. On Slaught (C) gains 10% damage scaling against NPCs and bosses. Blood Manipulation remains in B tier because the earlier V, C, ultimate, and Sickle nerfs still reduce its damage, guard pressure, and PvP conversion.

Does hyper armor make you invincible?

No. Hyper armor lets an attack resist interruption during its active window, but you can still take damage. Several moves traded i-frames for armor in this patch, and Shockwave’s counter now breaks hyper armor.

How does guard recovery work after a guardbreak?

Block regenerates correctly while you are stunned. After guardbreak stun ends, recovery starts from 25%, and another hit can cancel it. Several V0.17 ultimates can no longer break guard and continue landing the remaining sequence, so guardbreak timing matters more than simply starting the animation into block.

Were Arrow and Tamari buffed in Slayers 2 V0.98?

Yes. Arrow gained better Arrow Flight catch range, improved Arrow Smackdown tracking with tap lock-on, and the ability to use Koketsu Arrow while stunned. Tamari gained better target locking and homing, improved Piercing Kick tracking and range, and a Tamari Dunk that no longer cancels during wind-up.

How do global cooldowns affect Blood Demon Arts in Slayers 2?

Skill cooldowns are now global, so swaps should not provide separate copies of the same timer. Every counter also shares one cooldown, which directly weakens builds that stack Shockwave, Soyama, War Fans, or other counters for repeated defensive turns. Exact variant edge cases remain TBA.

Did Slayers 2 V0.182 change the Blood Demon Art tier list?

Yes. Obi Manipulation moves from A to S after major block-pressure, field, and ultimate buffs. Shockwave remains the best overall Art, Pyrokinesis stays S with cleaner Z recovery and a faster ultimate dash, and Arrow, Dream, Blood Manipulation, and Reaper gain more focused improvements without changing tiers.

Was Pyrokinesis buffed in Slayers 2 V0.182?

Yes. Blood Tiles (Z) has 0.2 seconds less endlag, while Blood Rupture dashes 20% faster and farther. These changes improve recovery and reach rather than adding another raw damage spike, so Pyrokinesis remains S tier just behind Shockwave overall.

Was Ice Manipulation nerfed in Slayers 2 V0.17?

Yes. Z loses 25% block damage, X gains a 0.1-second windup and three seconds of cooldown, and only the ultimate's final hit now guardbreaks. Ice remains an excellent AoE and control Art, but losing instant mid-combo X pressure moves it from S to A tier.

Was Obi Manipulation buffed in Slayers 2 V0.182?

Yes, heavily. Obi Barrage gains much more block damage, Obi Pursuit and Obi Grab gain 40% block damage, Obi Field triggers faster and deals 30% more trap damage, and Obi Charge can no longer be interrupted. That complete pressure upgrade moves Obi from A to S tier.

Does the Reaper Fighting Style work with the Reaper Blood Demon Art?

Yes. V0.18 fixed the Reaper Fighting Style so it works with the Reaper Blood Demon Art. That makes the intended movement-heavy close-pressure build practical, although exact guaranteed links between both kits still need more testing.

That wraps up the V0.182 Slayers 2 Blood Demon Arts tier list. Shockwave keeps the best overall toolkit, Pyrokinesis becomes cleaner at entering and leaving its burst windows, and Obi earns the clearest promotion through much stronger guard and field pressure. Arrow and Dream are better PvE picks than they were yesterday, while Blood’s small bossing buff is not enough to reverse its earlier demotion. We still need more time with equal gear to settle the closest matchups.
