Early November was a scary for shareholders of Roblox. Their stock is typically a strong performer, but nobody was on the game on November 9th, leading to the stock price falling. As crazy as it may seem, this was all a result of trolling on social media, so Roblox owners shouldn't have to worry long term.
Hacking Scare on November 9th for Roblox
The stock price for Roblox ultimately fell on Nov 9th due to a rumor that the game would be hacked. This rumor originated on TikTok, with many content creators making videos informing their viewers that "20 hackers" were coming to the game on that date and that they would either ban or hack players they found on the game. Gamers would also lose their items, such as pets in Adopt Me.

This rumor was basically proven false, though. None of these TikTok videos ever dropped a name of who would be hacking or a practical source for their information. These videos look like they were propagated to generate many views and likes.
Generally, when hearing about the news that a game will be hacked, gamers want to look for official sources. If the claims are unsubstantiated, they are likely untrue. One day without being on Roblox is remarkable, seeing the popularity of the gaming service.
