The stone age was a difficult time to be in, but it was also a period of great discovery. That’s why Roots of Pacha is so fun! Instead of normal unlocks, Roots of Pacha immersively allows players to discover Ideas that will give them items, recipes, and more. If you need help “thinking” up these ideas, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a list of all of them and their unlock requirements.

We've arranged every Idea in alphabetical order for easier navigation. Do take note that the devs may add new stuff in patches, so more Ideas could be added in the future.

Roots of Pacha Ideas List & Unlock Requirements

Idea	What it gets you	Requirements
A Flint Stone	Flint tools	Obtain a Flint stone and speak to Acre.
A New Way Of Fishing	Harpoon	1. Speak to Inza (Summer 9 or after) to receive your Research Quest. 2. Reach 54,000 Prosperity. 3. Bring Inza 20 Frints and 15 Hardwoods. 4. Wait for two days.
A Sick Animal	Medicine recipes	You need to have at least one sick Animal in your Animal Shed. The Idea quest will occur automatically. Speak to Ada, who will give you the medicine recipes.
Animal Breeding	Breeding Pen	1. Have one male and female of the same Animal reach a friendship level of six. 2. Reach 50,000 Clan Prosperity. 3. Give Teith 50 Flints, 30 pieces of Wood, and 20 Plant Fibers. 4. Wait two days and speak to Teith again.
Animal Friendship	Flute	1. Interact with a Wild Animal. 2. Speak to Okka and give her 20 Plant Fibers. 3. Wait one day.
Animal Riding	Lets you ride large animals you've befriended	1. Befriend an animal fully using your Flute. 2. Reach 10,000 Clan Prosperity. 3. Speak to Okka and give her 10 Plant Fibers and three Root Vegetables. 4. Wait two days and speak to Okka again.
Animal Taming	Lets Croll build Animal Sheds for you	1. Befriend an animal fully using your Flute. 2. Speak to Croll and give him 40 pieces of Wood, and 30 Stones. 3. Wait two days and speak to him again.
Art Station	Art Station, new furniture	1. Reach 68,000 Clan Prosperity. 2. Speak to Reese and bring her 10 Wild Flowers and 10 Hardwoods. 3. Wait one day for her to develop the idea.
Beekeeping	Beehive	1. Harvest some Sunflowers during Summer or Fall to trigger the Idea. 2. Give four Sunflowers and 12 pieces of Wood to Zeda. 3. Wait two days.

Brewer	Brewer	1. Use your Press to make juice. Ron should give you the Research Quest you need. 2. Reach 66,000 Clan Prosperity. 3. Bring Ron five Juices of any kind, five Hardwoods, and 20 Plant Fibers. 4. Wait two days.
Calendar (Sundial upgrade)	Calendar	1. Reach 90,000 Clan Prosperity. 2. Speak to Gin and bring him 10 Flints and 30 Stones. 3. Wait three days.
Cheese Cloth	Lets you turn Milk into Cheese	1. After obtaining a Fermenter, Nokk will ask for five Furs and 20 pieces of Wood. 2. Reach 52,000 Clan Prosperity. 3. Once you've given him the items, speak to him after two days.
Cold Storage	Cold Storage for food	1. Upgrade your house. 2. Bring Era 10 Stones and three Pots. 3. Wait for two days.
Composting	Composter	1. Collect some Poop and wait a couple of days. Ada will approach you with the Research Quest first thing in the morning. 2. Bring Ada two Poops, two Feathers, two Horns, and two of your harvested crops. 3. Wait two days.
Fermenter	Fermenter	1. Speak to Nokk and bring him three Fish of any kind and 25 pieces of Wood. 2. Wait two days.
Granary	Granary	1. Once you have at least eight Animals in your Animal Shed, speak to Daari. 2. Reach 80,000 Clan Prosperity. 3. Bring Daari 50 pieces of Wood and 50 Obsidians. 4. Wait two days.
Hammering (Tools Station upgrade)	Lets you make Copper Tools	1. Collect some Copper to unlock the Research Quest. 2. Reach 70,000 Clan Prosperity. 3. Give Acre 15 pieces of Copper and wait for two days.
Milker	Milker	1. Complete the A Flint Stone Idea and tame an Animal that can produce Milk (e.g. Ibex). 2. Speak to Acre. You can now purchase a Milker from her for 10 Stones, 10 Flints, and 120 Prosperity.
Mortar and Pestle	Mortar and Pestle	1. Collect Wild Seeds from some if your grain crops. Daari should approach you with a Research Quest after. 2. Give Daari 4 Grains/Wild Seeds from grain crops and 75 Stones. 3. Wait two days.
Obsidian Working	Tools Station	1. Collect some Obsidian in the Caves to unlock the Research Quest. 2. Give Tare 10 Obsidians and wait two days.
Plant Nursery	Plant Nursery	1. Harvest a crop and speak to Igrork. 2. Reach 6,100 Clan Prosperity. 3. Bring him five harvested Crops of any kind and wait two days.
Press	Press	Bring two Tomatoes, 15 Stones, and 25 pieces of Wood to Tare. Wait three days.
Spindle Whorl (Tools Station upgrade)	Spindle Whorl	1. Reach 140,000 Clan Prosperity. 2. Bring Jukk eight Bones and six Furs of any kind. 3. Wait two days.
Sundial	Sundial, adds time to your display	1. Unlocked after you get the Research Quest for Plant Nursery. 2. Deliver 50 Stones to Maeri and wait two days.
Trading	Trading	Once you meet Zelk, he'll ask you for five Smoked Fishes. Deliver those to him and wait three days.
Well	Well	The idea automatically unlocks when you refill your Waterskin. Give Voda 20 Stones and wait one day.

Remember that Ideas aren’t missable, and you can pretty much unlock one every couple of days just by going through the game at your own pace. Still, this table can help you speed up the process. For example, now you know which resources you should be hoarding or not!
