How to get a mount in Rune Factory 5

Tame every monster you come across!

In Rune Factory 5, you can capture, recruit, and tame different monsters. Being able to tame these monsters lets them help you in fights, work on your farms, and even ride them so that you can get places even faster. But how exactly can you tame these monsters to the point of being able to ride them?

First, you will need to unlock a Farm Dragon, which can be accomplished by simply playing through the story. Each Farm Dragon can have two Monster Barns built on it, and you can build these barns by speaking with either Palmo or Ryker at Studio Palmo and asking for a renovation.

Once the barn has been built, you can start storing monsters there. If you gift an item to the monster, a small heart will appear over their head, and their head will start to shake.

  • If the heart grows, you have successfully tamed the monster.
  • If the heart turns into a skull, the taming process has failed.

Once the monster has been successfully tamed, you will be given the option to ride it when you approach it.
