One of the two in-game currencies in Smite is called Gems, and most of the time can only be purchased with real-life currency. The current conversion rate for Gems is between five USD for 200 gems up to 100 USD for 8,000 gems. With such a pricey in-game currency, there are certainly easier ways to get gems.
The most convenient way to earn gems is to check out the main entrance page of the game. Here players will be notified of the most current and active events, with the ability to earn gems for completing an event. Also, holidays, in particular, are the best times to check. Make sure to check both the main page and the weekly quests that are available. This usually equals out roughly 25 gems per quest completed.
Players can also achieve gems by fighting through the Daily Win. At the end of each day, players who are sitting at the top of the rankings will receive their gem stipend. They will receive 15 gems for each of the battle options they get a top score. The battle options are between Conquest, Clash, Arena, Joust, Assault, Siege, and Joust the Two of Us.
Lastly, players can rank up specific characters on the leaderboards. The only part of the leaderboards that do not earn players money is the duels. However, players can pick one of the gods to fight with that isn't used very often, and attempt to raise their world ranking for that character by battling others.
Even though gems can be bought with real money, however, there are alternative ways to earn them. Gems are mainly used to unlock certain gods and purchase cosmetics items for the player's characters.
