Is there a horde mode in Starship Troopers – Terran Command?

Starship Troopers - Terran Command focuses heavily on Mobile Infantry killing Arachnids, but there doesn't seem to be a horde mode. During a SlitherineTV Twitch interview a few months back, The marketing director, Marco A. Minoli, was asked if there would be some kind of slider so players can simulate or play in a horde mode. He confirmed that there would not be any features like this.

Minoli explained that there would be nothing like that, and even programming the game to have an endless mode would take a lot of work. So no, there will not be any kind of horde mode in Starship Troopers - Terran Command.

Anyone who has seen the movie or read the book would understand the call for a horde mode because the Arachnids are supposed to be an infinite swarm. A game that lets players line up their units, choose where they should go, and see how well they can kill Arachnids based on their placement would do nicely with a horde mode. Maybe this will come in some future DLC.

That said, the game has many good moments, and there are moments where you must defend yourself against many Arachnids simultaneously, like in the movie.
