Like its predecessors, Total War: Warhammer 3 features certain multiplayer and co-op elements. The campaign and battles in the game allow anywhere between two to eight players. Here's everything you need to get started with the multiplayer feature in Warhammer 3.
In previous games, only one player could take a turn at a time. In Warhammer 3, all players in the game can take turns simultaneously. This will significantly improve the pace of the battles. The three different campaign types are as follows:
- The Realm of Chaos - Up to eight players
- Darkness & Disharmony - Up to eight players
- Something Rotten in Kislev - Up to three players

Similarly, the multiplayer strategy game modes also support a maximum of eight players. These modes include the following:
- Domination Mode
- Minor Settlement and Siege Battles
- Survival battles
- Land battles
- Free-for-all battles
- Ambush battles
- Chokepoint battles
- Subterranean battles
The developers have also made a crucial change to the ranked battle system in Warhammer 3. Moving forward, you cannot see your opponent’s race pick until every player has confirmed their picks. This improves the strategic aspect of battles.
