Total War 3: Warhammer introduces a host of new factions, with one of the most highly anticipated being Kislev. An almost forgotten faction within mainstream Warhammer lore, their return has brought with them the introduction of the mysterious Ursun.
Ursun is the Bear god of Kislev. In Total War: Warhammer 3, he’s one of the story's central figures. In the narrative-driven campaign of Total War: Warhammer 3, Ursun has been killed, but his spirit is trapped, preventing him from returning to the world. As a result, Freeing Ursun from his imprisonment is the main objective of most of the main factions.
Kislev themselves want to free Ursun for obvious reasons, while Grand Cathay believes the bear god has answers about the location of their missing dragon princess. And the Ogres allegedly want to feed Ursun to their own god, The Great Maw.
As a result, Ursun is one of the most pivotal characters within the story of Total War: Warhammer 3 and you'll likely hear the name quite a lot before the end of your first few playthroughs. However, in Total War: Warhammer 3, the fate of Kislev's bear god is entirely up to you, as you could just as easily play a Daemon Prince and keep Ursun's spirit trapped.
