How to get and use Vines in Tribes of Midgard

To get vines in Tribes of Midgard, you must visit the Smokey Highland region in the game and gather them from the ground. You can find vines real easily by locating stringy green plants when searching the Smokey Highlands. However, you must make heat protection before you can get Vines inside the Smokey Highland biome.

If you want to survive the Smokey Highlands biome, you can do so by making either armor with warm protection or Heatproof Elixirs. But If you are just getting to the Smokey Highlands biome, we recommend making potions as armor can take a bit of precious time in Saga mode. But if you are playing survival mode, either option will work just fine. That said, you can make Heatproof Elixirs by getting mullein spices and seaweed.

How to make Heatproof Elixirs in Tribes of Midgard

You can get the mullen spices you need from plants that spawn inside the Ash Beach biome in Tribes of Midgard. You can also find seaweed you need along the shore of the Ash Beach Biome. If you want to make the strongest version of the Heatproof Elixir, you must gather one extra resource called Frozen Spruce Syrup.

To get Frozen Spruce Syrup, you must head over to the Glacier Peaks biome, but Glacier Peaks has its own environmental risks. In short, you will take cold damage without cold protection inside the Glacier Peaks biome, so it make prove better to hold off on getting Frozen Spruce Syrup. Regardless, you can get Frozen Spruce Syrup by chopping down Frozen Spruce trees that you can find inside the biome. Once you gather enough resources, you can make both Heatproof Elixirs with the following resource amounts:

That said, depending on what version of Heatproof Elixirs you are trying to make, making the first version, you will require two Mullen spices and one Seaweed. For the better version of the Heatproof Elixir (Heatproof Elixir 2), you will need three Mullen spices, two Seaweed, and one Frozen Spruce Syrup.

How to use vines in Tribes of Midgard

Once you get vines, you can use them to make the Fenrir armor set that is unlocked by completing season rewards and the second version of Coldproof Elixirs.
