Does Viewfinder have VR support? – Answered

What kind of view will you use?

Viewfinder is an interesting take on the puzzle genre, offering first-person gameplay in which you challenge the laws of physics using an instant camera. Being an avid fan of puzzle games, I was immediately interested in the title, even if I'm not that good at them. But one thing that stood out to me is how good Viewfinder would be in VR. This left me wondering if there was VR support in Viewfinder.

Can you play Viewfinder in VR?

The answer is no—Viewfinder does not have VR support and cannot be played in VR. Despite it being the perfect game for virtual reality, there is no official way to play this first-person puzzle game in VR. That said, some dedicated fans may create mods to incorporate VR support, but if this happens, it will not be official. If a VR mod is created, you may need to do some workarounds to get it to work for Viewfinder.

Will Viewfinder get VR support?

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, developer Sad Owl Studios does not have any plans to add VR support to Viewfinder. This may change if Viewfinder performs well and fans continue to ask for this feature. After all, more and more games are offering VR, such as Sons of the Forest. However, there is no guarantee that VR support will come to the game, so do not set your expectations too high for this feature.

I would love to see VR support added, but I would understand if the developer foregoes this feature, as I imagine it is not easy to implement. For the time being, puzzle fans will have to accept that Viewfinder is not VR-compatible and dive into the puzzling gameplay without feeling like they are there themselves.
