Best Warframe Sniper Rifles, Ranked

Best sniper rifle? Tonkor with a duct-taped monocle!

Sniper rifles are a pretty niche weapon category in Warframe. It's a very meta-heavy game and those weapons that aren't considered at the top fall out of favor quickly. While the sniper rifles may not have the DPS of old-school Tonkor or the extravagant effects of some other weapons, they have their use in certain mission types. Here is the list of the best sniper rifles in Warframe.

Top 7 best Sniper Rifles in Warframe

7. Snipetron Vandal

Snipetron Vandal is a Puncture damage-dealing Sniper rifle with a base critical chance of an incredible 28%. Giving it any additional critical chance-boosting mods is unnecessary, and you will have more mods slots open for other useful things. It has well-rounded stats, and you will get a low impact, slash damage, and a good headshot bonus.

6. Komorex

Komorex is a Sniper rifle with a typical tradeoff in damage in favor of fire speed and good magazine capacity. While its ammo capacity is decent, chances are you will have to hit your target several times to put it down. You can circumvent this a little by using the second zoom, which doubles the rifle's damage and causes the shots to blow up on impact. This effect deals Viral AoE damage, which makes this rifle great at dealing with crowds of enemies from afar.

5. Sporothrix

Sporothrix is a brilliant Sniper rifle, similar to Lanka in many ways. Its shot deals Impact, Slash, and Puncture damage types simultaneously. The only thing keeping it from being on the number one spot in this tier list is that it's very situational. You can't use it against Infested or mechanical enemies. It only works on organics due to the weapon's nature. It fires barbs that explode on delay and deals innate Viral damage.

4. Vulkar Wraith

Vulkar Wraith is best known among Tenno for its various zoom options. If you're playing a mission in the open and would like to hit targets at various distances, this Sniper is perfect for that role. Every zoom level gives the rifle a varying headshot damage bonus and provides a significant Stagger effect, incapacitating the target for a short while.

3. Vectis Prime

Vectis Prime is a top-notch sniper rifle that provides a good balance of rate of fire and damage output. It compensates for its poor magazine size with negligible reload time. Putting Charged Chamber mod makes it even faster and almost seamless. This gun's ability to reload even while zoomed in is a good trick.

2. Rubiko Prime

Rubiko Prime is probably the most well-rounded sniper rifle in Warframe. It lacks the stopping power Lanka provides, but you can get a better rate of fire with it, and because it's semi-automatic, it's easier to use. Many Tenno may not know this, but what makes Rubiko Prime a respected Sniper rifle among the game's veterans is that it doesn't have almost any recoil.

1. Lanka

Despite its slowness, Lanka is one of the most powerful Sniper rifles in Warframe. It's perfect for dealing with Radioactive and Corrosive damage from firing Electric rounds instead of Physical ones. It's best used for dispatching highly dangerous targets, who, like the Wolf of Saturn Six, are susceptible to Radiation damage.
