All Psyker Staff Types in Warhammer 40k Darktide

All Force Staffs are unique in their own ways.

The Psyker Psykinetic has access to powerful weapons based on powers from the warp in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. One such weapon is called a Force Staff, and there are currently four variants in the game. Each Force staff offers players different routes to using the powers of the warp to their advantage. Our guide will explain everything you need to know about Force staffs in Warhammer 40k Darktide.

All Psykinetic Force Staff List in Warhammer 40k Darktide

In total, there are four Force Staffs in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, and each weapon unlocks at a different Trust level in the game. Force Staffs are also based on four Warp elements: Trauma, VoidStrike, Surge, and Purgatus. That said, here are all four Force Staffs listed below with their element, attack style, and unlock levels:

  • Nomanus Mk VI Surge Force Staff - Unlocks at level eight for the Pskyer Psykinetic class.
    • Attack style and Warp element - The Surge Force Staff focuses on lighting-based attacks that can strike multiple enemies and cause staggering.
    • Abilities - The Surge Force Staff has a main attack ability called Warp Strike that sends lightning bolts at enemies. Players can also charge up Warp Strike to increase the damage output.
    • Possible Trait Blessings
      • Focused Channeling
      • Run And Gund
      • Warp Flurry
      • Warp Nexus
      • Terrifying Barrage

  • Equinox Mk IV Voidstrike Force Staff - Unlocks at level 11 for the Psyker Psykinetic class.
    • Attack style and Warp element - The Voidstrike Force Staff features an attack style and element that focuses on sending out balls of Void energy that can both stagger and damage foes.
    • Abilities - The Voidstrike Force Staff features an attack style and element based on abilities called Blaze bolt and a secondary attack that can be charged for increased damage. The abilities cause blast damage that can hit multiple enemies. 
    • Possible Trait Blessings
      • Transfer Peril
      • Warp Nexus
      • Sustained Fire
      • Focused Channeling
      • Blazing Spirit
      • Run and Gun
      • Terrifying Barrage
      • Warp Flurry

  • Rifthaven Mk II Purgatus Force Staff - Unlocks at level 15 for the Psyker Psykinetic class.
    • Attack style and Warp element - The Purgatus Force Staff features an attack style and element with great burn damage due to its unique abilities. The Purgatus Force Staff also has a focus on warp attacks that cause burning over time damage. 
    • Abilities - The Purgatus Force Staff has a main attack style and Warp element ability called Coruscation, which causes burn damage and applies Soulblaze. Soulblaze is a damage-over-time effect that causes enemies to lose health from being burned to death.
    • Possible Trait Blessings
      • Focused Channeling
      • Warp Flurry
      • Run And Gun
      • Warp Nexus
      • Terrifying Barrage
  • Equinox MK III Trauma Force Staff - Unlocks at level five for the Pskyer Psykinetic class.
    • Attack style and Warp element - The Trauma Force Staff provides players with AOE attack style and element that causes explosive damage.
    • Abilities - The Trauma Force Staff allows players to place an AOE circle effect on the ground that will explode when enemies walk into it. Like most Force Staffs in Darktide, the Trauma Force Staff can also be charged to increase its damage output.

All Possible Force Staff Trait Blessings in Warhammer 40k Darktide

  • Blazing Spirit - Grants up to two stacks of Soulblaze on critical hits on enemies.
  • Transfer Peril - This Trait will quell up to 4 percent of your Perils of the warp when you hit weak spots on enemies.
  • Sustained Fire - Grants up to 15 percent more damage on second and third shots in salvos.
  • Rending Shockwave - Grants up to eight additional Rending that can scale with how long you charge attacks using certain secondary attacks on Force Staffs.
  • Focused Channeling - This trait will make it so that when you charge attacks using the secondary attack on certain Force Staffs, you can't be interrupted when enemies attack you.
  • Run and Gun - This trait will make it so you can hip-fire with the weapon while your character is sprinting.
  • Terrifying Barrage - Using this trait, you can suppress enemies up to 9m from you on close-range kills.
  • Warp Flurry - Grants up to 10 percent additional charge rate on changed Secondary attacks that can stack up to five times.
  • Warp Nexus - This trait will increase your critical hit chance by around five percent at different levels of peril that can stack up to four times.
