How to complete Heavyweight Champion Penance in Warhammer 40k Darktide

He's going for the ear!

Penances in Warhammer 40k Darktide require careful planning and forethought. When trying to do one, you need to devise a plan, team composition, and loadout according to the requirements. This adds a spin to your regular gameplay and provides some variety to the regular hack-and-slash that each game brings. Players have been having trouble with the Heavyweight Champion Penance, so here is how you can complete it.

The Heavyweight Champion Penance requires you to hit six Ogryn-level with a single Bull Rush on Heresy difficulty or above. This is a list of enemy types that are considered to be Ogryn-level:

  • Plague Ogryn
  • Bulwark
  • Crusher
  • Reaper

We recommend that you don't attempt this Penance until you reach Level 30 with your Ogryn because you will get the Unstoppable Feat. This Feat makes your Bull Rush twice as long. Also, it makes it unable to be interrupted by anything except Monstrosities. Without this Feat, the run will be almost impossible to do.

To achieve the Heavyweight Champion Penance, you will need to play with the Endless Horde mode turned on. The Endless Horde is a Special Condition where enemy spawn rates are increased, which includes Ogryn enemies. You will have to choose your arsenal carefully and have good team communication. Make sure your allies know you're going for the Heavyweight Champion because you're relying on them not to kill the Ogyrin and provide crowd control.
