What difficulty should I choose in Weird West?

How will you play?

Traveling through Weird West and its dark world isn't always safe. You will encounter various outlaws, monsters, and more. You'll need to defend yourself. At the start of the game, you can select your difficulty. This may leave you wondering what difficulty you should choose in Weird West.

You can choose between Story, Normal, Hard, and Very Hard in Weird West. Obviously, the difficulty is easiest in Story and hardest under Very Hard. We recommend choosing one of the easier difficulties, like Story or Normal, even if you are looking to challenge yourself.

We played on Normal and found the combat to be inconsistent regarding how quickly you can kill the enemies and how quickly they kill you. The AI was somewhat all over the place, with enemies being oblivious to you or seeking you out even though you weren't visible.

The camera angle and aiming mechanics can also make the game a challenge. So, for all these reasons, we recommend playing on one of the lower difficulties to avoid the frustration of dying repeatedly.
