Action adventure hack-and-slash games with mix of historical and fantasy elements are Koei Tecmo’s wheelhouse, and they’re giving us one more with the announcement of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. A brand new game from the creators of Nioh, Wo Long Fallen Dynasty is a gritty adventure game set in Three Kingdoms-era China. Announced during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022, this looks like a great new IP for action adventure fans. Everything we know about Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

From the trailer, we can see that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will mix down-to-earth historical realism with dark fantasy storytelling. Taking the role of a warrior fighting supernatural enemies, little about the gameplay is currently known. But if previous games by Koei Tecmo are anything to go by, expect a high paced action adventure with solid combat mechanics.

During the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty was revealed to be scheduled for release on March 3, 2023. This means that the game should release in the first quarter to half of the year.
