What to give the Junk Boy in Like a Dragon Ishin

Anything works but don't give anything too valuable!

Substory 51 of Like a Dragon Ishin has Ryoma giving items to a child to play with. The items don't actually have to be anything in particular, and the level of friendship that is increased will always be the same no matter what item is given. The main issue is that items are very valuable and whatever is given won't be given back. This is all the information players need to know about Substory 51 and Junk Boy's friendship.

What to give for Substory 51 in Like a Dragon Ishin

Progressing through Chapter 2, players are bound to run into the Junk Boy of Substory 51. The item doesn't actually matter when interacting with Junk Boy for Substory 51. Low cost items are the best things to give as giving high quality crafting materials that Ryoma was given for completing other Substories won't be given back. After giving the first item, the boy will disappear for a short time but will return after a while.

The best items to give the boy are ones that don't require spending anything. Iron Scrap and Metal Sheet can be dropped by enemies around the area after defeating them, making them both good options to give. Scrap Paper can also be acquired by spinning the Prize Wheel and players are sure to have a lot of them. Ryoma only has to give Junk Boy four items total to maximize his friendship. Players can explore shops, minigames, or other Substories and come back to the same location by the Shrine to give another item to Junk Boy to raise Ryoma's bond with him.
