How to find the 5th Sage in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK)

Detective Link is on the case.

One of the biggest mysteries in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is who the 5th sage is. After clearing the first four temples, Link meets with Tulin, Riju, Sidon, Yunobo, and Purah, who notice that there is a sage missing. Link is then left on his own to find clues, but players who have been paying attention might already know where to look. Here's exactly where you can find the fifth sage.

In order to find the fifth Sage in Tears of the Kingdom, players need to head to the Ring Ruins in Kakariko Village and talk to Paya (coordinates 1813, -0936, 0112).

Originally, Link wasn't allowed to explore the ruins because Zelda supposedly ordered Calip to stop anyone from entering. After the battle in Hyrule Castle, though, it's revealed that Zelda was actually an imposter. That means Link is free to explore the ruins as he pleases.

The camera function is needed for this part of the game. If players can't use the camera yet, they should go back to Lookout Landing and talk to Robbie to get their camera working.

Through exploring the ruins, Link will find an ancient Zonai tablet, which will direct him to the Zonai ruins. This sets off a huge quest that leads to the 5th sage. Every part of the quest is covered in our guide on how to unlock Tobio’s Hollow Chasm in Zelda TotK.

I definitely recommend bringing wooden or Zonai weapons for this quest. To get to the Spirit Temple, Link will need to travel through a couple of Thunderstorms. I almost got zapped a couple of times because I forgot that I had a metal bow equipped.

Once inside Tobio's Hollow Chasm, Link will finally meet with the fifth Sage, who is Mineru. Players may remember her from some of the Dragon Tears. She is the sage of spirit, and Link needs to help her in the Spirit Temple.
