To dye armor in New World, you will first need to get the dye. Dyes can be obtained through many ways that include rewards from quests, crafting, and the in-game store. That said, once you have a dye to use on either your weapons or armor, open up your inventory.
When you are inside your inventory, right-click on a piece of equipment as shown above. Doing so will present an option in a tab called dye. Click this dye option, and it will open another tab up.
In this next tab, you will be able to dye all of your armor pieces, including shields, but if you were hoping to dye weapons, you sadly can't. However, you can still dye any of your armor pieces, provided you have dyes available.
You can also change the primary color, secondary color and even add accents and tints to the entire piece of armor. To add dye to an armor piece, just hit the arrow on the box under a category and then select a dye. You can also do this for the other options, and doing so will change the color by category.
