With Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl finally out in the wild, players can get their hands on an exciting platform fighter with their favorite Nickelodeon characters. Players have been asking what modes are available in this new fighting game, though, and thankfully, we’ve got an answer.

Content in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl breaks down into four categories. We’ve listed each mode and its underlying options below:

• Battle Mode
  • Stock: Players compete with a limited number of lives. Last player or team standing at the end wins.
  • Timed: Players compete with an infinite number of lives, instead fighting until the match timer runs out. Each fighter receives one point for a KO and loses one point for being KO’ed. The player with the highest score at the end of the match wins.
  • Sports: Fighters use their moves and abilities to score points with one of five ball types. The player with the highest score at the end wins.
    • Soccer: A heavier ball that requires precise movement to score
    • Football: An uneven ball with sporadic movement, making for a chaotic match
    • Tommy Ball: A lighter, bouncy ball that stays in the air longer than other balls, great for juggling.
    • Plankton Ball: A large ball with Plankton’s eye in the center, difficult to get into goals.
    • Yarn Ball: A ball that doesn’t bounce much, requires more effort to move around the field.

  • Players choose a single fighter to challenge a gauntlet of rivals with

  • Compete against other players via internet connection with one one of three subsets
    • Competitive Play: Play to improve your overall rank in tense stock matches against random players
    • Quick Play: Matches with no stakes against random opponents
