Best Bow Builds in New World

Here's our first build for the bow in New World.

The Bow is one of New World's most powerful range weapons if you have a decent build that can build up its range damage capabilities. You will also need to have high dexterity to increase the base damage of the weapon.

Light to medium armor would also be ideal for a decent Bow Build in New World with the right attributes. That said, here's what we consider the best bow build in New World.

The Sniper

We are calling it the sniper for this build as it uses primarily from the hunter tree in the bow weapon mastery for extreme long-range critical damage. Here are the skills you will need to pick listed below.

Penetrating ShotShoot an arrow dealing 150 percent weapon damage that passes through targets and continues for 100 meters.
Rapid ShotShoot three arrows one after another in a short volley. The final two will deal 100 percent weapon damage, with the last arrow causing 125 percent weapon damage and knockback.

These two skills will be your main weapon attacks as they are quite deadly when used in conjunction with each other. However, you will also need to grab the following passive skills or some of them to boost their effects.

Long RangeYou deal 20 percent damage to foes 10m away.
Finishing ShotDeal 20 percent damage to foes at 50 percent health.
Aim TrueHeavy Attacks deal 30 percent more damage and arrows fly faster.
Blood SoakedIncreased damage after each hit with a max bonus damage of 50 percent.
Deep StrikePenetrating Shot deals 20 percent more damage.
Opening StrikeHeavy attacks deal 20 percent more damage to targets with full health.
Concussion (unlocked with 10 points into the Hunter Skill Tree)Deal 20 percent more damage with headshots with a 50 percent chance to gain arrows back
Arrow RangeThis one is optional but increases how arrows will go before bullet drop kicks in.

Once you have both skills and the abilities listed above, you will need to acquire the Rain of Arrows skill in the skirmisher skill tree.

This ability allows you to fire a volley of seven meters wide that deals 150 percent weapon damage. Combine this third ability with all or some of the following passives for the best results.

Barbed arrowsMakes it so rain of arrows causes bleed, dealing 85 percent weapon damage
Hooked Arrows Makes it so rain of arrows causes a 15 percent slow for 4s.
MarkDeal 10 percent more damage to foes suffering from a debuff.
ImpaleIf you hit a foe with full health cause 10 percent slow
Evasive TacticsAfter you doge, gain a 20 percent buff to damage for 5s.
Battle PrecisionDebuff and damage over time durations last 20% longer.
Knee ShotLeg shots cause 10 percent slow for 2s. Choose this or Concussion or both if possible.

Overall, we encourage players to use this build as a template for designing their characters and picking and choosing whatever skills they like.

But for the most part, if players are looking for a decent build, we highly recommend going with this setup. With our sniper build, players will maximize long-range damage and cause debuffs to enemies to slow them down and cause even more damage.
