Pokémon Legends: Arceus is one of the most anticipated games of 2022 for the Nintendo Switch. This entry takes the popular monster-catching franchise to an open-world setting with far more freedom than Pokémon players have even known before. With this new freedom comes a few questions for those exploring the untamed and vast Hisui region, namely, if players take fall damage when traversing the open world.
There is fall damage in Pokémon Legends: Arceus and the farther the height players fall from, the more damage they suffer. Take too much damage in the field, and you'll faint, forcing players to return to the nearest base camp and resume their excursion from there.

To avoid taking unnecessary damage from falls in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, try traveling with one of the game's Ridable Pokémon, as these creatures are better suited to traverse the wilds than any researcher can on their own.
If you're traveling through the skies, Hisuian Braviary will be your guide. Need to swim upstream? Basculegion will get you there in an instant. Are you struggling to cross the unforgiving terrain of the Hisui region? Wyrdeer is an excellent companion on long land trips. The longer you play Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the more Pokémon players will encounter that they can ride, so if you've yet to find a way forward, try securing a new ride.
