Dying Light 2 offers plenty of choices when exploring the last city's dystopian society left to survivors. How players choose to influence the world around them matters and can alter the game's world. Can players end up locked out of quests if they make certain decisions in Dying Light 2, though?
Players can lock themselves out of quests in Dying Light 2 if they progress to specific milestones in the story. At this point, some quests will automatically be completed, stopping players from participating in these activities. Because missions can be locked off in Dying Light 2, we recommend taking your time with the story and taking on side-missions as you see them rather than saving them for later.

Apart from side missions, choosing specific options in the main story can influence which quests become available in the future. Choice matters in Dying Light 2, and siding with a particular faction will make them allies, opening up certain quests from these NPCs. Siding with one faction often makes another your enemy, however, making opposing NPCs hostile and barring you from taking on missions from that side of the fence.
