Dying Light 2 is an open-world experience that allows players to experience the dilapidated European city of Villedor as Aiden with a variety of tools, abilities, and weapons at their disposal. How players approach Dying Light 2 is primarily up to them, but can players complete this experience without fighting the undead by relying solely on traversal skills and options?
While players can avoid overworld encounters in Dying Light 2, they will eventually need to battle bosses as the story progresses. There is no way to complete the game without fighting the main game's bosses and planned encounters. Though there are scripted encounters, these moments appear intermittently throughout Dying Light 2, giving players the option to proceed how they wish in other scenarios.
Players can focus on a combat build and prioritize slaying all infected in their path instead of avoiding them. How players transform Aiden with upgrades, skills, and gear is up to user choice. Skill points for combat skills are earned by fighting enemies, so only those who engage in battle will increase their skill point pool as they play. Night encounters give boosted experience for both combat and traversal abilities as well, so we recommend braving the nighttime hazards in Dying Light 2 if you're in a rush to upgrade your character.
