Dying Light 2 – All Zombie Types

Dying Light 2 is a post-apocalyptic world filled with boundless life and undead life. While traversing the streets and buildings of Villedor, players will no doubt encounter various types of zombies. While some won't be very threatening, others will hunt you down.

Here are all the Zombie Types in Dying Light 2: Stay Human.

• Biters - Biters are the most common form of Infected in Dying Light 2. You will most often see them hanging out in small groups of three or four. These Infected move fairly slowly, and are easy to take down with just a few hits or a dropkick.
• Virals - Virals are Zombies that were just recently infected. Their movements are more like that of a human and are also pretty common in Villedor. These enemies will often sprint and climb to try and catch you. You will run into them the most during a Chase at night.
• Howlers - These are the Infected that you'll want to avoid. They stand out due to their glowing chest, and an icon above their head marks them. If a Howler notices you, they will scream and alert nearby Infected. Alerting one of these at night will immediately start a Chase.
• Bolters - Bolters will do just that, bolt. When a Bolter senses your presence, it will immediately try to run away at high speed. You do not have to fight them, though they often have rare loot. They will leave glowing footprints behind for you to follow if you are fast enough to catch them.
• Banshees - Banshees are acrobatic and are identifiable by their large sharp claws. They will often leap high into the air to pounce on you. The best way to handle them is to attack them before other infected while they are recharging between jumps.
• Spitters - Spitters will be growing bright yellow and are a type of ranged Infected. They will spit chemicals out of their chest from afar. These Infected are not too hard to take down, but they can become a nuisance if not dealt with quickly.

• Bombers - These Infected exist in just about every Zombie game. They are the ones that explode when they get close to you. They are bloated and covered in big chemical cists. The best way to take care of these enemies is to take them out with a ranged weapon before they get close.
• Goons - These are the big enemies you will often see guarding rare loot. They move fairly slow but hit extremely hard. Often, their attacks are strong enough to knock you out one hit. It will be easier to avoid these big beasts most of the time than getting knocked around and wasting medkits in a fight with one.
• Revenant - These Infected are distinguishable by their wing-like growth on their backs. These enemies are slow, but they can buff the zombies around them with a toxic mist that harms the player. They can also call in more zombies to the fight. The best way to deal with them is to take out the lesser Infected as quickly as possible, then finish off the Revenent before it has time to spawn more zombies.
• Volatile - Volatile are the Alpha Infected. They are few and far between in-game, but running is the only thing to do if you are unlucky enough to anger one. These enemies are both fast-moving and hard-hitting. They will quickly overwhelm even the most experienced survivors, and only a UV Flashlight will slow them down.

Just about everywhere you turn in Villedor, there's Infected trying to kill you. Whether it be in the streets, on the roofs, or in the buildings, the world is just filled with them. Therefore, it helps to know what you are getting into when you run into the undead.

Those are all of the Zombie Types in Dying Light 2. Most of these zombies won't pose too much of a problem for players, however, when the different types of zombies get together, it can become deadly very fast.
