Horizon Forbidden West allows players to upgrade their equipment and "pouches." You can do this at workbenches scattered around the game's massive open-world map. The pouch upgrades will garner a range of effects mostly centered around the carrying capacity for the targeted item.
Shredder Satchel upgrades allow players to carry more Shredder ammo at a time. Players likely won't get their hands on a Shredder until later in the game, but the upgrade is still worth it, as the Shredder can be devastating to enemies if used correctly.
What ingredients are needed to upgrade the Shredder Satchel?
There are a total of four Shredder Satchel upgrades. The items needed for each upgrade are listed below:
- Upgrade 1 - 50 Metal Shards and 2 Pelican Feathers
- Upgrade 2 - 100 Metal Shards, 1 Iridescent Crab Shell, and 1 Duck Feather
- Upgrade 3 - 200 Metal Shards, 1 Bighorn Sheep Bone, and 3 Moonfish Skin
- Upgrade 4 - 300 Metal Shards, 2 Peccary Hide, 1 Iridescent Lobster Shell, and 1 Bass Bone

These items can be obtained by killing animals around the map and looting their bodies. Some items are more difficult than others, but animals seem to have a much higher chance of dropping rare items than machines, so it shouldn't take too long to upgrade this pouch.
